    Default Motorcycle Engine Oils

Aslam Alikum, Immediately seeing the title you may have said this oh not again again one more thread
for engine oil but guys please bear this one too purpose of creating this thread is to share the range
of motorcycle engine oils available in market and for this i want your valuable co-operation as i would
share engine oils & their pics which obviously will show the specification but i have access to only few oils
which i have used or which are available in my city
i can't access all engine oils so that is why i request all of you if you have used an engine oil or you have pics of
bottle you should share here & share your review about that particular oil
Your sharing matters alot as i alone can't collect all info about engine oils available in market

As i just said in last line of first paragraph your co-operation is important in helping me out
to collect info about engine oils available in market but also i need your help in Engine oils subject As i am not expert in Oils
if we search on net this subject is too deep so want to know your info about these important terms in engine oils
this thread will be useless if it does not have any details info about specification terms
so kindly if you find some good info on net share here

    *API
    *JASO
    *Viscosity
*SAE Viscosity Numbers 10w40,20w40,20w50 or SAE40
    *Single Grade & Multi Grade
    *Mineral & Synthetic/Semi synthetic
Etc notify if there are some other important terms

The Sole purpose of this thread is to collect info about engine oil available in market
    *Specifications/price & *Picture

^Sharing some basic info which i know as par my bike

API in simple word an company which gives certificates of quality to engine oil
so always look for this API label oil but some manufactures recommends JASO
But most motorcycle manufactures in pakistan as the big one
AHl recommends to use engine Oil with API SG,SF,SE or higher grade
you should look your bike manual for the details about your bike

Viscosity of oil is shown in the SAE numbers
most oils nowadays available in market are multigrade
first number which is followed by W (winter) shows the oil viscosity at low temp:
lower this number thinner the oil be at lower temp:
2nd number shows the viscosity of oil at high temp 100c: higher the number thicker the oil
20w40 oil will remain less thick at 100c as compare to 20w50
my bike manual says 20w40 is good all rounder for pakistani conditions
but depending on the temp user can choose which oil suits engine more

Now Lets Start Sharing Some Engine Oil Brand Which I Know Or Remember

The only problem regarding synths is the pricing else they are superior oils in every aspect. But the price does not compliment the old tech and cheap commuting bikes in Pakistan..It is good for sports-bikes not commuters

One thing I would like to share is that there are some discussions going on about LM sticker design. I did some research and few things I have noted:

The packaging that Mr. amjad635 got has Art No. 2762, which is quiet similar to the one I got which is Art No. 1500.
I got on the official website of LM and found these packaging's, but I was not able to find the one shown in the Pakistani website.Motorcycle Engine Oils -1325375Motorcycle Engine Oils -1325389Motorcycle Engine Oils -1325378Motorcycle Engine Oils -1325379Motorcycle Engine Oils -1325380

There are all the available Packaging I was able to find and I had a thought that the package some people here claiming to be new is actually the old one.

Here on this thread Mr. bike_junky posted pictures of his LM bottle which he bought in 2009, which has a similar art design as the bottle shown on the Pk LM website. And also the art number shown on the Pk website is 1500 which clearly is not.

    Here is the link https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/oil...ine-oil-best-2

So the conclusion is that the bottle people are claiming to be from new stock is actually old stock.

Can anyone confirm this? It would be really helpful to other PW LM users to buy fresh stock next time.

Done 200Km on Zic. And startup/warming up is easy.
will shift back to Total once winter is over.

    I am using Total 20w40.
It is a good oil, works very smoothly, quick to pick up on acceleration.

I have used Total 20w40 in my Cd-70. My experience is that it looses it's viscosity in long runs. The first 8 to 10 km were good but after that it just failed on me. The clutch began to act weird, the engine got hot and the bike stalled on almost every signal and that was happening just after doing 150 ~ 200 km on it. Caltex gives a much better performance than this. It just didn't worked for me here in Karachi. (No idea about other cities)

Currently using Liqui Moly 4T, shifted from Caltex and it just feels better. The engine gives a nice sound and feels like it's lubricated with double cream . Will post a proper review after 1000 km. So far I am impressed.
