    Default Motorcycle Engine Oils

Aslam Alikum, Immediately seeing the title you may have said this oh not again again one more thread
for engine oil but guys please bear this one too purpose of creating this thread is to share the range
of motorcycle engine oils available in market and for this i want your valuable co-operation as i would
share engine oils & their pics which obviously will show the specification but i have access to only few oils
which i have used or which are available in my city
i can't access all engine oils so that is why i request all of you if you have used an engine oil or you have pics of
bottle you should share here & share your review about that particular oil
Your sharing matters alot as i alone can't collect all info about engine oils available in market

As i just said in last line of first paragraph your co-operation is important in helping me out
to collect info about engine oils available in market but also i need your help in Engine oils subject As i am not expert in Oils
if we search on net this subject is too deep so want to know your info about these important terms in engine oils
this thread will be useless if it does not have any details info about specification terms
so kindly if you find some good info on net share here

    *API
    *JASO
    *Viscosity
*SAE Viscosity Numbers 10w40,20w40,20w50 or SAE40
    *Single Grade & Multi Grade
    *Mineral & Synthetic/Semi synthetic
Etc notify if there are some other important terms

The Sole purpose of this thread is to collect info about engine oil available in market
    *Specifications/price & *Picture

^Sharing some basic info which i know as par my bike

API in simple word an company which gives certificates of quality to engine oil
so always look for this API label oil but some manufactures recommends JASO
But most motorcycle manufactures in pakistan as the big one
AHl recommends to use engine Oil with API SG,SF,SE or higher grade
you should look your bike manual for the details about your bike

Viscosity of oil is shown in the SAE numbers
most oils nowadays available in market are multigrade
first number which is followed by W (winter) shows the oil viscosity at low temp:
lower this number thinner the oil be at lower temp:
2nd number shows the viscosity of oil at high temp 100c: higher the number thicker the oil
20w40 oil will remain less thick at 100c as compare to 20w50
my bike manual says 20w40 is good all rounder for pakistani conditions
but depending on the temp user can choose which oil suits engine more

Now Lets Start Sharing Some Engine Oil Brand Which I Know Or Remember

    @Automotorsport_Lover , FYI

I haven't poured it in yet. That Kixx Ultra 4T is really exceeding my expectations, and so far have proved to be a much better alternative to a Havoline, which would go to total **** in very hot weather.

Right now, the bike has clocked 1000 kms on Kixx Ultra 4T and i plan to rape it a little more, just to see how long this oil can last. Then i'll switch to Liqui Moly InShaALLAH
UPDATE: I didn't ride my bike after this, until today where i did a short trip in my area. Just now, i have tuned the bike and changed the Kixx Ultra 4T after 1011KMs of usage, and have poured in the Liqui Moly bottle i had purchased. Its 35811 at odometer currently. Lets see how long does it last.

Kixx Ultra seemed to have performed pretty well (1011kms) given its price tag (it was the 2nd Kixx Ultra i had poured in)

Best drain interval for local oils is 1000km max..FOr lm any where b/w 1500-2000,i prefer the former..Draining lm on 1.4k

With referance to GS150, in my opinion if air filter element is washed and oiled along with fuel filter replacement with oil change, for example liqui moly, then this oil can be pushed to 2000 to 2500 Km, however, i would drain it at 2000 to stay on the safe side

Yesterday, i placed an online order for Zic 4t 20w-40 IL packing through http://www.zicoil.pk/. Surprisingly, first i was contacted by some zic official from Lahore after half an hour of the order and then the delivery was made same day at 8 pm. But instead of a 4t oil i received this:
Infact he couldn't find my home and we met a neutral venue. there he gave me Zic M and I told him that I had ordered for Zic 4t. Now as i was not near my computer i thought that i might have ordered wrongly. Meanwhile the rep told me that they used zic M in their bikes and it was wonderful for bikes also and i kept it. what do you say?

People do any thing & every thing that they understand is right
I would never recommend you using this engine oil in your bike
there is Zic 20w40 available which is for 4t motorcycles you should use that oil

I would have kept the same drain interval even for GS..A local oil drained at 1000km is a better deal than an imported oil drained at 2k above cuz the former has more potential in increasing life expectancy than the latter.BY draining oil at 1.4/1.5k i am at an advantage

This does not imply that LM is not a superior oil..It can easily clock 2k kms.The best mineral oil one can procure.I do it for my peace of mind.

You want to share about oils and their experience please do otherwise guess/humor/hobbies is a befitting place to troll

@amjad635 You are requested to clean this thread.Remove any post you deem unnecessary including mine..One thing i cannot digest is ppl coming in and trolling/bickering around and talking in loops and tipping of the mood of ppl

This is a gem of thread.I dont want it to suffer the same fate as the original bike care and detailing thread.

Archon brother liqui moly has excellent feedback here in Pakistan too
its tried and tested engine oil which has earned respect with its performance & quality
every one who have used has appreciated its performance alot
your point is valid too every country has own products for their needs
but your saying LM is not practical here is wrong as i defined above on its peformance
Now LM is good engine oil but its very expensive so its not logical choice
for an ordinary bike user when an local brand also serves the purpose very well
Yes enthusiast will prefer & he should if he can afford to use LM

Devilskreed brother's latest post regarding LM is very good share
it is very nice to know about this engine oil that its No 1 in Germany
and its great that this engine oil is available in our country Pakistan

Devilskreed Calm down brother every one has right to share their thoughts here in this forum
Archon brother is senior PW member he has just shared his thoughts and i don't see any thing
serious wrong with the post nor he is an hater of LM

In the end i am not blaming any one i have respect for both brothers Devilskreed & Archon
you both guys are senior pakwheelers & great pw fellows
