    Default Motorcycle Engine Oils

Aslam Alikum, Immediately seeing the title you may have said this oh not again again one more thread
for engine oil but guys please bear this one too purpose of creating this thread is to share the range
of motorcycle engine oils available in market and for this i want your valuable co-operation as i would
share engine oils & their pics which obviously will show the specification but i have access to only few oils
which i have used or which are available in my city
i can't access all engine oils so that is why i request all of you if you have used an engine oil or you have pics of
bottle you should share here & share your review about that particular oil
Your sharing matters alot as i alone can't collect all info about engine oils available in market

As i just said in last line of first paragraph your co-operation is important in helping me out
to collect info about engine oils available in market but also i need your help in Engine oils subject As i am not expert in Oils
if we search on net this subject is too deep so want to know your info about these important terms in engine oils
this thread will be useless if it does not have any details info about specification terms
so kindly if you find some good info on net share here

    *API
    *JASO
    *Viscosity
*SAE Viscosity Numbers 10w40,20w40,20w50 or SAE40
    *Single Grade & Multi Grade
    *Mineral & Synthetic/Semi synthetic
Etc notify if there are some other important terms

The Sole purpose of this thread is to collect info about engine oil available in market
    *Specifications/price & *Picture

^Sharing some basic info which i know as par my bike

API in simple word an company which gives certificates of quality to engine oil
so always look for this API label oil but some manufactures recommends JASO
But most motorcycle manufactures in pakistan as the big one
AHl recommends to use engine Oil with API SG,SF,SE or higher grade
you should look your bike manual for the details about your bike

Viscosity of oil is shown in the SAE numbers
most oils nowadays available in market are multigrade
first number which is followed by W (winter) shows the oil viscosity at low temp:
lower this number thinner the oil be at lower temp:
2nd number shows the viscosity of oil at high temp 100c: higher the number thicker the oil
20w40 oil will remain less thick at 100c as compare to 20w50
my bike manual says 20w40 is good all rounder for pakistani conditions
but depending on the temp user can choose which oil suits engine more

Now Lets Start Sharing Some Engine Oil Brand Which I Know Or Remember

(that would be self-flattery but yes, hahaha )

About the grease, true, it is expensive. One thing that is special about this is, it has long lasting anti-corrosive properties.
Plus, it is 400 grams. WD-40 white lithium grease is 300 grams and is 1000 Rs.

Fuel treatment is for my old car. If it works well, i plan to feed it every 2500 kilometers

Yes, I do have a Formula1 wax. That thing was bought last year and still keeps going. Haha. Never freakin ends.
I use it on weekends. Liquimoly Universal Polish is for other rare cleaning events I do not so very often e.g. use after a wash, before applying wax.

And yes bro, I am aware of the fact that polish prevents paint a lot better from UV rays than the poor semi-organic wax. Hehe

Thanks for checking up! And please, do share, what you have in your repository

This is my previous post in this thread.

Just now, i have tuned the bike and changed the Kixx Ultra 4T after 1011KMs of usage, and have poured in the Liqui Moly bottle i had purchased. Its 35811 at odometer currently. Lets see how long does it last.

Kixx Ultra seemed to have performed pretty well (1011kms) given its price tag (it was the 2nd Kixx Ultra i had poured in)
I have been using that bottle of LiquiMoly 4T Racing i had purchased, and poured at 35811. Right now, my bike has clocked 36839. Thats 1028 Kilometers of running so far.

I have mixed feeling with this oil.
    - On one side i am sad that the oil is really showing its age and screaming to be changed.
    - On the other 'mildly pleasant' side, the clutch performance at 1028 kilometers is very surprising, where it seems that i can drag the oil further till 1500 kilometers or more, if i wanted to.

My original statement about LiquiMoly 4T Racing being an Over Rated would have been true, had i purchased the Kixx Ultra 4T i wanted to, but didn't. Instead, for whatever reason ... i opted to give this oil (LiquiMoly) "another" try, before giving out my judgment.

For that reason, i have purchased ANOTHER LiquiMoly 4T, from the Same Shop at Muslim Town Morr, Lahore.

---- AND HERE IS THE BAD NEWS ----

    See the picture first.

    Motorcycle Engine Oils - f5SYzAt

The shopkeeper claimed that it was "new packing", on which i became slightly suspicious, but preferred my 'trust' on him. I was coming back from work, tired ... so i didn't really pay attention to the new packing on the bottle ... and that big *** word "STREET" written on it.

For a reference, here is a picture of the old bottle, taken from one of the previous posts.

Deep down i am cursing myself for not spotting this difference when i was in the shop. But i can't really blame myself i wasn't in my right mind I AM SAD at the moment.

Now, can anyone please do some research and find out the difference between "RACING" and "STREET" versions? Both are "Mineral" engine oils.

To cheer some of the fellows up ... HERE IS A VERY VERY GOOD NEWS.

I'll let the picture do the talking. BEHOLD. TADAAA ...

    Motorcycle Engine Oils - EsrJiQd

    - Its 10W-40.
    - Its "Racing" 4T.
    - Its "Semi Syntheic"
    - It costs Rs.900
    - Limited Stock. Only 10 cartons, and 12 bottles per carton. (8 of them are already reserved by an Anonymous customer, the one who 'ordered' these to be imported).

Tagging @r1 @vickytulla @angle82, @automotorsports_Lover ... and all others i am missing (apologies for that. Still feeling tired)

a quick visit to site shows that it is just the matter of label change. On new stickers, they are keeping "Race" label for fully synthetic oils only. Mineral and semi-synth both are labeled as "Street" oils now.

Hey thanks Gull sahab. Maybe I need to take rest more often

Tell me something. If all semi-synthetics are also tagged as "Street" then how come that 10W-40 is tagged as "Racing"?

Can you find out more? And post as link as well?

abobobilly brother why do you feel oil is screaming for oil change however same
time you saying bikes performance in gear shifts or clutch performance is very good
i would recommend don't judge liqui moly oil performance on its color as it turns into
black quickly as compare to local engine oils

and thanks for sharing news on availability of LM 10w40 for bikes
its good to have this oil its expensive but enthusiast would not care for that
i think this engine would be good to use in modern heavy bikes too i feel
this was imported on request of heavy bike users

I am also thinking to go for liqui moly again have clocked around 2000 km on this oil. The cons i have found in this oil are it needs a warm up for 2-3 mins after starting the bike. Bike engines gets heat up alot after using it more than 1000 km. Rest performance wise the oil is very good.

i once tried Liqui moly in my GS and didn't like it. warm up time was quite long and first gear katak sound issue started. drained it back to bottle after 2 days. and now i use it to Oil Air filter and as Chain Lubricant.

I have used Zic 4T 20W-40 (Mineral) for last 4000Km and totally satisfied with it. Recently i noticed that Zic 4T 20W-40 also available in semi-synthetic, so i am giving it a try this time. Let's see.

I have used Zic 4T 20W-40 (Mineral) for last 4000Km and totally satisfied with it. Recently i noticed that Zic 4T 20W-40 also available in semi-synthetic, so i am giving it a try this time. Let's see.
What is the price of Zic 4T 20-40 semi synthetic?

@dr.omair suggest and recomends volvoline bike oil as he has tested it and explained it reduces chances of over heating in summer or long rides and stays in form more then any other oil specially in GS.
