    Default Motorcycle Engine Oils

Aslam Alikum, Immediately seeing the title you may have said this oh not again again one more thread
for engine oil but guys please bear this one too purpose of creating this thread is to share the range
of motorcycle engine oils available in market and for this i want your valuable co-operation as i would
share engine oils & their pics which obviously will show the specification but i have access to only few oils
which i have used or which are available in my city
i can't access all engine oils so that is why i request all of you if you have used an engine oil or you have pics of
bottle you should share here & share your review about that particular oil
Your sharing matters alot as i alone can't collect all info about engine oils available in market

As i just said in last line of first paragraph your co-operation is important in helping me out
to collect info about engine oils available in market but also i need your help in Engine oils subject As i am not expert in Oils
if we search on net this subject is too deep so want to know your info about these important terms in engine oils
this thread will be useless if it does not have any details info about specification terms
so kindly if you find some good info on net share here

    *API
    *JASO
    *Viscosity
*SAE Viscosity Numbers 10w40,20w40,20w50 or SAE40
    *Single Grade & Multi Grade
    *Mineral & Synthetic/Semi synthetic
Etc notify if there are some other important terms

The Sole purpose of this thread is to collect info about engine oil available in market
    *Specifications/price & *Picture

^Sharing some basic info which i know as par my bike

API in simple word an company which gives certificates of quality to engine oil
so always look for this API label oil but some manufactures recommends JASO
But most motorcycle manufactures in pakistan as the big one
AHl recommends to use engine Oil with API SG,SF,SE or higher grade
you should look your bike manual for the details about your bike

Viscosity of oil is shown in the SAE numbers
most oils nowadays available in market are multigrade
first number which is followed by W (winter) shows the oil viscosity at low temp:
lower this number thinner the oil be at lower temp:
2nd number shows the viscosity of oil at high temp 100c: higher the number thicker the oil
20w40 oil will remain less thick at 100c as compare to 20w50
my bike manual says 20w40 is good all rounder for pakistani conditions
but depending on the temp user can choose which oil suits engine more

Now Lets Start Sharing Some Engine Oil Brand Which I Know Or Remember

I know company some time recommend a oil for their engine I didn't say the company is doing frauds worldwide if you visit their site they are selling oil instead of recommending it for their product and they are official partner in pakistan atleast If you see if a company recommends it and if they sell it they use their name on the product which is not present in this case share your experience with this oil and check your pm as well

Blended and packaged under agreement from valvoline. Just like other manufacturers specially mobile phones . They are manufactured in china but as per laws. Iphone, samsung, Nokia all have their assembly lines in china.

Hello there saboor73. Actually rizwan4340 is quite correct. We are Rubatech and are the Official Channel Partners of Valvoline in Pakistan and hold the Master Distribution Licence.

In the recent past there were many traders and importers offering Valvoline lubricants in Pakistan. They were importing from various suppliers in the region. Due to the growing popularity of Valvoline products, the parent company is now officially represented in Pakistan by us. Our head office is based in Karachi and we are gradually and positively expanding our reach throughout Pakistan as well as increasing the range of products that we can offer.

Valvoline Inc, is a USA headquartered company and one of the worlds top 10 producers of lubricants and associated products. Valvoline is part of the Ashland Group which is a Fortune 500 company. Valvoline was the company that pioneered motor oil and was the company that held the first ever patent of motor oil in 1866. To see Valvoline's history you can click this link Valvoline - 140 Years Under the Hood which you can also link to via our website Valvoline Pakistan Karachi- valvoline.pk using the link Why Valvoline ? at the bottom of the page.

Orient Energy is the Official Distributor in Pakistan for Cummins generators. Cummins and Valvoline have teamed up worldwide to produce a lubricant, Valvoline Premium Blue, which is the only lubricant officially authorised for use in Cummins generators. While as the Channel Partners we are authorised to offer all Valvoline products including Premium Blue, Orient is authorised to offer only Premium Blue. So while you can get any Valvoline product from us including Premium Blue, you can only get Premium Blue from Orient Energy and not any other Valvoline product.

There are many dealers and traders offering Valvoline in the market and have added the products to their websites. A case in point is cumminspakistan.com who are just dealers in Cummins engines and not the official distributors. They have listed Valvoline on their website, as many years ago they used to import Valvoline lubricants and sell them in the market. They no longer have the rights to do that as Valvoline products can only be imported into Pakistan through us. The pictures of the Valvoline lubricants on their website are also very old. For example the XLD bottles shown are green, the colour was changed to grey 3 years ago ! The motorcycle oil bottles of Champ that are on the website are also the old bottle designs !

We hope this has cleared up some misconceptions.

    Thanks guys.

    Hello saboor73.

We have explained in a seperate post that we are the Official Channel Partners for Valvoline in Pakistan.

All Valvoline products are imported by us direct from our principals. They are 100% imported and 100% genuine.

All products are pre-sealed before import by our principals. Valvoline products are all made using Group 2 base oils which are significantly better that Group 1 base oil lubricants which most of the other companies are offering in Pakistan. Group 2 base oil lubricants give increased drain interval, smoother running engine and less fumes than Group 1 base oil lubricants.

You are welcome to call us directly if you have any more queries or doubts.

    Thanks.

Here is my initial feedback between KIXX API SL 20W50 JASOMA & Havoline API SG 20W50

Keeping into consideration my bike CG 125 2014 ODO 840 now

Motorcycle Engine Oils -1503691Motorcycle Engine Oils -1503692

    Pros About KIXX
    1. Keeps engine cool and no over heating issue after driving 20 KMs
    2. Clutch performance was good, no slippery
    3. Exhaust sound was little sharper/louder
    4. Morning Start takes less time and get the engine ready to drive in lesser time
    5. Idle RMP is great, no variation

    Cons:
    1. Engine smoothness lacks even on 40km/50km speed but become smooth over 70km/h
    2. Vibration is noticeable, not too much but still being observed.
    3. Oil seems little thin than normal 20w50 grade oils
    4. Price is 480/L which is little higher than its rivals

    Havoline Pros
    1. Engine smoothness, yes I felt its soothing performance
    2. While pouring out from the engine after 500km it look like fresh and new. Inspiring
    3. Muffler sound was not loud and over sharp
    4. Price is reasonable 445/L
    5. Accessibility
    6. Less vibration as compared to Kixx

    Havoline Cons:
    1. Engine gets heated after driving of 20km
    2. Clutch performance is weaker than KIXX, gets starting slippery after 10 to 12 kms (Not too much but still noticeable)
    3. Engines feels tiredness after 20km and feels heavy on initial 1st and 2nd gear
    4. Takes little longer time in morning to be ready to drive and first 1 km is little heavy.
    5. Idle speed starts variation after 20 KM (Like 1300/1200) in Kixx it stood steady on 1200

Havoline used as per odo (300 to 780)
KIxx used from 781 to 840

My 2012 deluxe always performs better on kixx as compared to havoline.on long routes engine sound becomes louder on havoline ,seems oil totally lost it thickness and lubrication at high rpms on long route .

I agree KIXX performs better on higher RPMs and over 70KM/H
but on lower RPMs Havoline works good

My 98 honda 70 having bad experience with LM oils.. at first engine sound was decreased and was feeling much better but after 2 weeks it got worse than shell and now after 1 month engine noise increased so much that I am going to change it now even less than 1000 km....
I think its not good for old engines... sticking to Shell HX3.

Yes, the 10W40 Racing was available at 850/-
So, should I use this or should I get the replacement and pick 10w40 Racing?
Please note, currently I have used Havoline 20W50 and now Kixx 20W50
