    Exclamation Suzuki GS 150 2008?

    Salam Alekum,

Anybody who knows about the problems associated with Suzuki GS 150 (2008) model which were rectified in later models. Some owner has mentioned about inferior built quality, bad parts installed and overheat issues. Please comment as i might be buying one. Only comment about the 2008 model. Also what would be a fair price for a 12K km mileage 2008 bike.

    Thnx.

My gf told me the other day that I don't take her to expensive places any more, so I took her to the gas station.

The only problem in 2007/08 models as compared to 2005/06 the inferior build quality & a bit deficient inventory. The price shud be between 45~55K depending upon overall condition. And yes you might face failure of CDi unit in next couples of thousand miles as in many cases the CDI of GS 150 gives up between 10000~20000Km running.

brother bike (gs150) rpm remains high even on nutral and takes time to come back to the previously tuned limit. is this a problem ? or is part of the mechanics of this engine type? as it is OHC. i hope you understand what i am trying to ask.
    thanks,

    thanks,
play a little with accelerator adjustment screw which is situated outside the carb. Lower your idle RPMs a bit.
I am totally understanding what you are saying.
It isn't the part of engine mechanics, it is supposed to come down to ~1500RPM as soon as you leave the throttle.

    @Elegant_Rao

As other memebers mentioned its note due to engine design. Shuch problem could be due to , accelerator cbale jamming, Idle mixture adjustment, pressure leakage in carb cicuit like worn out rubber flange or filter housing or even due to to worn diaphram in carb.
BTW is it new bike we are talking about ?

Thank you @gull and @moazzam @imranbhatti, its 2012 (not euro2). it has this problem since i purchased plus many others but this one is , well annoying. i will try to lubricate the cable. we don't have any expert mechanic here and the one there is, he is too busy to even look at it. so i have no choice but to carry on with the suffering. i don't know about the pressure leakage or mixture adjustment. bike engine is alright. just this happens specially when after taking remand. it goes to 3000 rpm and takes time to come back and even then it doesn't come back all the way to the idle 1500rpm.

Adjust the idle to ~1400 RPM immediately when you see it stuck next time. And after that don't touch the settings, then ride and tell.

    @ elegant_rao

I have suffered similar problem in my 70cc, my rpm was very slow to react and it stay on the higher side all the time even if a set the rpm to the lowest possible state after riding the bike it got stuck on the higher side.

The actual problem with my bike was that it was running on the lean air mixture, so i tuned it my self and got the desired results mechanics are pain in the head and they dont understand if you ask them to tune the bike they just turn the mixture settings on the leaner side that upsets the rpm as well.

    hope it helps

    Thanks for your response @imranbhatti
I am in rawalpindi, and trust me it is difficult to impossible finding any. only one expert for the whole f***n region. and its like on the weekdays (imagine what it would be like on weekends) both twin cities come to them. wtf even if you take appointment, would be of no use, its Pakistan. anyhow i will ask him this as you mentioned. Hope these problems with my bike will go away, one day.
