Default GS 150. My first bike

So I finally bought my first bike, a Suzuki GS150
So far I'm really happy the reliability and performance of this bike but do like to change some thing in this bike

The first thing I like to change is the brake light, to me the square edgy shape of the brake light doesn't look good with the overall shape and design of this bike it need to be in round or oval shape

Second I would love to install some wide tyres and possible alloy rims if its possible

And finally I want disk brakes!!

So I would really appreciate if anyone give me some feedback regarding these changes

Plus since this is my first bike I have no idea how to maintain it. I know I shouldn't go over 60km/h before 1000 km other then that I don't know anything! So I need help people

    @op
    Congrats man!

Change first oil at 400kms, 2nd at 1000kms along with ur oil filter and after that keep changing at 1000-2000kms mark. Drive below 50 @ 5th gear, below 5000 rpms.

1000-1200kms if ur using local cheap oils and 1500-2000max if ur using imported oils like liquimoly... Use 10w-40 or 20w-50 grades...

Bdw don't ask such basic questions here why dont u give a good read to ur owners manual it has everything.

My advice is stay away from mods.. Just waste of money and no gain. If u really want that much stuff then get a unique ud100 or Ravi piaggio 125 or a heavy bike lol! But u can sure go 4 better rubbers or wider... As it's good 4 safety and worth it.

Frankly all the mods uv mentioned are gonna cost u the same money as the bike itself! Why then not get a gs500 at first place!?

@Automotorsport_Lover i tried alot of different helmets in the shop but my chin was touching the from of the helmets in most of them and the ones which fits perfectly were too big and i could feel the extra weight on my neck so i decided to get this one instead but i do understand what ur trying to say abt the faceoff helmets regarding the safety issues

i do make sure that the RPM doesnt go over 5000RPM at any gear

ur point is well noticed abt the mods so im thinking abt just sticking with changing the brake lights (coz i really hate it) and will change the rear tyre

and thank you for your feedback

got the kri dealer infrom from a thread postd by @abdulrehmanrauf

might be it near to your location ( @Sniper and @jadoon1992_vxlimited )

Yesterday, I was able to find one authorized dealer of Genuine Liqui Moly oils in Karachi. I purchased 1 Ltr Racing 4T 20W - 50 @ 700 Rs for my Sprinter.

So far I have done only 30 kms. So this is just a initial feedback.

I must say this oil is a superior quality oil and a overall package as it has enhanced my bikes performance overall.

    1 - Vibration:

    Felt least vibration as compare to other oils. I have used Shell AX -3 20W - 50, Castrol Active 20W - 40 n 20W - 50, Caltex Havoline 20W - 40, Zic 10W, 40 and 20W - 40 and 20W - 50, Askari 20W - 50, Total 20W - 40, Suzuki Oil 20W - 40.

Its about 22kms distance between my home and my office. I felt the same performance throughout. Just to give you some feeling, with this oil I felt very less vibration when you try to accelerate your bike at lower speed with top gears like 30km and your bike in 4th. It was awesome.

    2 - Smooth ride:
Very smooth and always single sound of engine. In other word engine sunn chal raha tha.

    3 - Light - effort less ride:
I mostly drive at 60km/h. Today as per my habit I was driving at the same speed. What I felt ride was very light and bike reaches 60 without any effort, very soft ride and 70, 80km/h was easily achievable.

No engine heating issue. I am guessing that I will get more better fuel average.

    Ramp Climbing:
In my office, I have to climb to Parking floor 1. It is very very steep and very sharp turn plus it is closed area so you can easily hear the loud engine grudge.

I especially observed the performance here. To be very honest, I heard the least loud sound of my engine, bike took least amount of time to accelerate on this steep ramp without any extra vibration.

So this is my feedback on this oil for now. I will update this thread may be after completing 500 or 1000kms.

    ------------------------------------

    About the location:

The shop is located in North Nazimabad Hyderi, Karachi. It is near United King. You can find the shop behind building of the Bank Al habib Branch. Shop name is Shamsi Oil Traders.

He has all range of product and he was kind enough and did his marketing very well he brief me about oils of different grades and other artifacts like engine ware protection.

I asked for 4 Ltr 20 W - 50 oil for my car. It was 2400 Rs. Another superior oil with Mos2. It was 3500 (4Ltr).

    --------------------------------

    Mileage claimed by shopkeeper:

He told me that Racing 4T 20 W - 50 can last till 5000kms. But I might still change the oil at 3000kms maximum. But surely it depends on the oil situation at that time.

Similarly for car 20 W - 50 can last to 8000kms. He also said that company says 9000kms.
