    Default Is CG125 woth buying?

I am thinking of buying a CG125 But i have seen alot of -ive reviews for CG125 on this bike. It will be my first bike. But I am confused. Here I have seen many users praising Suzuki GS150/GD110. I also like GD110. But here in my area it is hard to find spare parts of this bike also Mechanics are don't suggest this bike as they don't understand GD110's engine. I can wait till February 2014. Is there any chance of improvements in CG125 in 2014 model?

I have also read about cd100 pridor on this forum. And buyers look satisfied with it. But I Love CG125 (2011 model). But I don't wanna buy a used one.

cg 125 is the best in its category I believe but if u want pridor is another excellent choice, although GS150 is the best but parts availability would be an issue.

Its a good bike. But the reason we are being so negative is because its old now and should be bycotted so that AHL finally consider making themselves better. Plus, the quality of Euro 2 bikes have been reduced drastically, to the point that a bike barely last you full 1 year.

I own a 2008/09 model CG125 and my TayaAbbu owns a recently bought Euro 2. I have been using mine for nearly 4 years now. While i do have some major complaints with it, its a good bike with a robust engine. But if i consider buying one again, i'd most certainly never buy this.

If you want to purchase your first bike then consider Piaggio 125 or GS150 ... Former have a Disk Brake, both have bigger batteries for electronics and also have a better engine than CG125. Plus, the presence of SelfStarter.

You can also consider buying a CG125 Deluxe which is still a better bike than classic CG125 (Disc Brake, Comfy & riding position better than GS150 and Piaggio for people with less height) but is expensive than the both above mentioned ones, have smaller battery and no self start.

However, if you want options in lower 100cc or lower category then you can consider GD110, Pridor etc. Frankly, i don't have any experience with any of these so others might be able to tell you better.
Riders on the storm ... literally.

If you are not satisfied then do yourself a favor and search the forum
I am sure except Xarak everyone will tell you not to buy this bike

Ravi and Suzuki are useless for me if i can not get even their indicators here. I have only Honda cd70/cd100/CG125 in choice. I don't like sporty look. I prefer to be classic. The only reason to go for CD100 will be if cg125 will be scrap in one year. Once i will buy a bike i will use it for next 10 years least.

Quality of 125 is not same as was in the past. I will recommend you Honda Cd 100. Better quality and better road grip.

if you simple talk about value for money than cg125 is surely a Big No
originally designed in 1976, we are gifted with almost same thing

again Value for money can be Storm 125, as it gives a lot of facilities to a rider.

Pridor is also a good bike, wld suggest you this 1, as you are new into 2 wheels

plz note GD110 is a great, infact greatest bike in Pakistan. and you will not need to have it's parts again & again, plus you shld not go to local mechanics who just use: HIT & TRIAL METHOD

Malik sb, your feedback and review of Suzuki GD 110 helped me a lot in purchasing my GD. And except for the overall smaller size and resale value as compared to Honda CD 100 (Pridor), which was my previous bike, I find it superior to Honda CD 100 in all other aspects.

It feels good when experts like you commend GD

    To all prospective GD buyers:
It has a superb build quality and high-class engine, but the only issue is its smaller size as compared to Honda CD 100 (Pridor). Honda CD 100 is way more comfortable than GD because it is wider, longer, and taller than GD. However, GD has the best suspension system in 100-cc category!
    First deserve, then desire.

Yes, kind of. My calculation doesn't show a good mileage, but I was proved wrong in the test. So I have nothing else to say now - my bike's fuel settings are perfect and it is giving me a good fuel average.

However, my mind is boggled at how come I am not getting right fuel consumption values from my calculations

I measure fuel average the following way.

    1. When your bike start suffocating at 'ON', note down the meter reading and turn to 'RESERVE' position. For example in my case, I noted meter reading clocks at 51000.

    2. Fill in petrol 1ltr.

    3. Turn to ON position and ride your bike.

    4. As soon your bike start suffocating again, note down the meter reading again. In my case the meter clocked 51068.

    5. 51068 - 51000 = 68 kms/lit.
