Default My new machine - GD110 (a gem)

    My new machine GD110 a gem -1323289
Alhamdolillah by the grace of Almighty Allah, got my GD delivered yesterday. Had to wait for 2 weeks for the color but in the end it paid off . Truly speaking, its a gem. This thing is really class apart. When i rode it out of the showroom, i thought i am on flying carpet. Really smooth, comfortable n powerful.
    10,000 KMs Done MashaAllah

Engine oil: I am using Zic 10w40 synthetic, its best. Second option is AHL 15w40

    Fuel consumption:
After coming to "RESERVE" position, poured 1 litre fuel. After riding the bike till 56kms on "ON" bike started jerking.. Came back to "RESERVE" position. Speed: 40 - 50

First reading: Done 56kmpl , i am really amazed that it has done that much in break-in period..

Second reading: Done 57 kmpl , really happy with my GD

    Build quality:

Truly a marvel, paint finish is outclass, each n every part looking superb neat n clean.

    Riding experience:
Really smooth, comfortable, silent yet powerful. I will call it a silent beast

Important information !!! Yesterday, after coming back from office, i opened the oil gauge cap. I was shocked to see that the oil was below the half mark. I waited for some time for the engine to cool down, but still the oil was near half mark.
At the time of delivery, showroom guy showed me the oil was on full mark so how come it ran away in just 100kms. I swiftly went to my old mechanic and asked him to check the oil. He said " bhai abhi itni jaldi q le ae 400-500km to chalao". I said k check to kro oil. He opened the cap and he was surprised too. He asked " which engine oil you used". I said Suzuki Genuine oil. He said to change the oil immediately. I purchased CASTROL GTX costing 420Rs. for a litre pack. When oil came out from the enigine, it was looking more like water.
I would advice all the new SUZUKI bike owners to change the oil after first 100kms.
Castrol GTX is superb, engine and transmission has become more smooth with reduced engine noise as well. And i did 56kmpl after changing the oil. Costly oil but worth it.

    First tuning done at 1050kms

Enjoy the pix, do say Masha-Allah.

Its the octane booster, means it will raise the octane rating of petrol, just like hi-octane.
Just have to pour in the fuel tank with petrol.
No you can use it in normal street bikes also. (Not talking about 70)

Amjad bhai from my experience getting these bikes tuned is just asking for trouble. I got my gs tuned only once and the average dropped to 30km/L.

And even that was from the most respected Suzuki mechanic safeer.... Right?

I never let anyone touch my bike. Even when i go to service center to buy maintenance parts, suzuki mechanic looks at my GS with eager eyes and asks everytime, "yaar aap kabhi bike ka kaam karwanay nahi aatay"

ammarzahid brother are suzuki mechanics this much inexperience
do they useless play with cars or they don't even know how to set tappets ?

i would not admire too much honda mechanics but alteast they are better
alteast the one mechanic in my city i would not call him perfect mechanic
some time he does foolish mistakes but one thing i have noticed of him he
never play with carb don't even touch jets he just open carb bottom and use
only air to clean he said this is recommended to us by honda and they are
strongly suggesting this to follow it don't open carb until and unless bike is
having some serious issue of missing or other carb related to issue

and from months i am going to him and i have been great experience with him
    bike is running fine

but in one thing i 100% sure none mechanic in pakistan follow rules
they consider them ustad and do careless mistakes don't follow proper
rules but nothing can we do about this its better we avoid them as much
as possible and chose the mechanic which alteast don't play with bike useless

this is the main issue. he told me fuel mixture was too lean, and adjusted it using his own andaza. and on that day i ran out of fuel in the middle of the road, i think my GS gave me less than 30 that day. I was shocked, and i cursed myself that why did i get this bike tuned when it was running perfectly. i read up how this carb worked and adjusted it myself, using the proper method. and now im getting 38+ EASILY. i would recommend everyone to learn how a bike works as these mechanics never do the job properly they are always in a hurry, halal nai kartay ye paisay ko. the mechanic i got my bike tuned from restores GS500s so i wasnt expecting this foolishness from him.

ammarzahid if he does not know how to adjust air mixture
so imagine what he would be doing when restoring GS500s

i believe here these mechanics still don't have command over
OHV CG engine they can't rebuilt it properly

and yeah they are always in hurry that is the biggest problem of honda mechanic
here he is very senior but does not concentrate on his work at all they don't work
with interest just work to earn only
