    Default Project Road master CD200

Well today i bought a HONDA CD 185 1979 with the engine of CD 200, the engine is in very good condition, the bike was standing for 7 months a friends place and wall has dropped on it, this is my first post and a very restoration project, i'm 19 and i don't really know that much about bikes that much, this is my first bike, but i like the sound and ride of this, always a wanted a road master, anyway the is in bad condition, look wise, some things are missing like the speedo meter, original seat, the fuel tank has a big hole underneath, the paint is bad now, side covers are missing, now i need your advice where to get these things from, i know parts are expensive but i'm okay with it, i called someone for the speedo meter he qouted me 3.5k for a taiwan made meter and 1.5k for a Chinese one, which one should i go for? i'll be brining a new fuel tank as well, right now using a bottle on it, haha. i'll be uploading the pictures as well, please give me suggestions. The pictures are old, i've cleaned the dropped paint on it, i live in karachi. will upload new pictures soon as well, suggest me the places to find the rest of the missing things. thank you

original filter can be found from ranchor line, but 125 air filter the steel part can also be use if u have really good mechanic of 200 to look into yr bike.
it will be way far from yr place to visit water pump. i hope u have seen newtown area ( jamshed road). old man mehfooz has its shop over there and he is good in fixing these old machine, what u do that u take the road which is coming from guru mandir towards jail road, pass petrol pump on yr left and after 200 meter most u can find his shop on left, he have his old 200 mostly standing out of his shop.
just go to him he will take care of the things for u, if money for fixing is not the issue he will fix it completely. remember is old fat guy.

but like most of the young chaps like u who like to buy these bikes as these look good on roads while riding, i advise u to get rid of her instead of spending yr precious time over her, these bike are real pain in fixing nowadays.

    take care and kind regards
Help others so that u can be Helped

less power. less pick, as soon as bike warms up clutch will not work or work poorly, and if compression is low then bike needs its head cylender to be repaired as well..

@sarsalan while working on the bike today the electrician says that my stator is 6 volt which is originally on CD 185 but the other setup 12 volt so it charges the battery at at least 4k rpms and high speeds. He suggests to use a CD 200 magnet. Is there any other way out?

My all setup is 12 volt but the battery gets down because magnetto is of 6 volt apparently. Can I rewind the stator to 12 volt?
