Default My GS150 After 3 year of Use

AOA fellows sharing here my bike pictures which is been with me for last 3 years.

i had made some minor changes in the bike after purchasing her.

    1) replaced acid battery with maintenance free 1.

    2) changed front and rear tires with better 1s.
    front is from service 2.75/18
    rear is from DSi 100-90/18

    3) changed rear back light with newer model, with out any doubt new rear light have more presence on road than previous 1.

    4) changed stock bulb with osram h4 bulb 12v 55/60w with relay installed to save bike wiring from getting heat up.

    5) oil used in bike is always 20w50 mineral oil for gasoline engine not 4T oil of any type ,except once used 5w30 havoline full synthetic oil for 1.2k km. many will disagree with my choice of oil but what to do, petromin ultra 7, valvoline xld and now mobil special works excellent for me in all the bikes i have kept over passage of time without any trouble. and they are cost effective too.

    6) only used NuFinish polish once a year over the painted parts and u can see the results.

    7) bike have done 5.8k km till now.

    8) parts replaced till now.

    a) right side rear indicator which was broken by my self.
    b) Rpm cable once.
    c) rear brake shoe once.

    9) fuel consumption: 40+km/l till now.

let the picture do some talking.

    Adding new ride picture too

    take care and kind regards.

easy bolt on fit, just remove 3 bolt holding the light bracket , remove the seat , disconnect the wire clips and install the new light. new light come complete with bracket and same color code wire.
in old bracket u will find 3 rubber washers with 3 small steel cylinder type washers.
remove the steel washer first and than the rubber washer, fit the both washer in new bracket.
fit the new light, make connection, fit the seat back at its place and u are good to go.
its hardly 10 minutes job max.
bol and post yr ride picture with new light when done .

    kind regards

True, the new light is a bolt on fit. But remember, buy the complete rear light assembly, not just the fitting. Its cost is rs.850 as per company rates. The complete assembly is a bolt on fit, nicely explained by brother @archon2001

I recently changed my rear light assembly as well, with a little help from my old man
Looks awesome, and has better visibility due to two bulbs

well he was right its around 387 rupees.
u know this was also 1 of the reason i switched to previous model indicators , they are for 182 rupees each and for 400 i can buy a pair of them in case they broke and that too original from suzuki . and they have more flexibility than the new 1s.

its service turbo 2.75/18 , its kind of a hard tire but looks good on front .
if u are looking to change yr stock tire with this 1, don't go for it .
stock tire is far better than this 1 my personal experience .

    JazakAllaah brother for appreciating.
I initially installed the rear light to match the reflector on the trunk. I didn't find the new model indicators attractive, so opted for the honda delux ones instead. Didn't want to keep the old ones as they were barely visible during day light.....I almost had an accident once, but Alhamdulillaah bachchat ho gai. These are alot better
The rear trunk and side boxes have served me very well recently. You might wanna check out in case you missed it

    Really whaaaat. It's hell expensive.
Anyways if anyone who has a spare lying around and it's of no use kindly let me know via PM. I will buy at a reasonable price. Karachi members only.

Also, I am having very front light. and with a bit of on coming traffic at night, it is dull as hell. Kindly guide. thank you

Indicators are almost a bolt on fit. You might be needing larger washers but thats about all. Just start the swap, and you'll figure it out.

With regards to improving the headlight, there are plenty options available. Brother @archon2001 has discussed it already. Consider flipping back to older posts in his thread.

Also, go through the thread posted below for more ideas. You will find many other useful tips as well

Default Time for first oil change

aoa fellows since bike has cover some good kms so decided to change engine oil.
and this time and for the first time i decided to go for a 4T oil .
went to sahil lubricants at shorab goth, this is the place where i used to buy petromin ultra 7 and valvoline xld.
as i was in need for oil for home genset and bike too so he gave me 2 oils.

    1) valvoline XLD 20w50 API SG/CD gasoline engine oil , this oil i have used in my car, genset and bike in past without any problem. going to use in home genset. if required also in bike

    2) valvoline Champ 4T 20w50 API SG, JASO MA2 , for the first time i am going to try this 4T oil in my bike.

going to replace the oil filter also.

posting the pictures here of the oil cans.

i will post the result of this oil after riding the bike for several 100km.

presently bike is running on SGO oil which came in the bike at the time of delivery.

oh yes the most important factor i.e price of oil

    valvoline 4t = 300 pkr for 0.7ltr
    valvoline xld = 400 pkr for 1.0ltr.

    take care and kind regards
