IMO A new GS buyer should go through most GS threads on these forums. Note or save all minor flaws in GS keep them in mind, sort them out in case if any one of these problems occur happens to his GS.

You have to visit Township Suzuki Motors Akbar Chowk. On the opposite side of Suzuki showroom there is Hyundai township show room near Akbar chowk.

Near that showroom you will see a street in that street there is a Suzuki shop on right side, name Kashif Suzuki he is company trained mechanic (according to PW member) Mechanic name is kashif cell # is 0300-4146959 (don't know its still working)

The mechanic deals in Suzuki bikes specially GS. You should give him a try may be he can fix your GD.

Do let us know about your experience with him. Good luck

Yes it's powerful but it's not giving good mileage in your case. Faida butterfly carb ka when you are getting same mileage as piaggio/cg. when it rains i ride my sprinter through 1 feet of water (seriously), and it goes without issue. Its just such a dependable bike. I dont care about the comfort it offers, its engine is that good.

@Automotorsport_Lover and @gull_s_777 thankfully my GS's problem has been solved.
Yeah, Sprinter's got an awesome sound! You are right in your disappointment in GD's engine for its thirst for fuel. But I also second your experience of riding in 1-foot deep water on your Sprinter by adding that I indeed rode my GD in a much deeper water last year when all other bikers were dragging their machines when their engines refused to kick-in. I was also anticipating my GD would given in as well, but Alhamdu Lillah it performed above my expectation..

Glad that your battery-related problem is solved, and alas to Pak Suzuki for their poor quality control.

It was not a battery issue, it was a simple wiring problem and that too that wires weren't pluggin in properly. Ab kya kahun main quality control ka jab tarain hi aisi hain. But its common in Paki bikes and we as owners should always check nuts, bolts and wires when we get a new bike.
@gull_s_777 yar taapa nai beth raha? Obviously in the last few days the side covers have had to be taken on/off quite frequently and i suspect that has worn out the damn washer/rubbers. Wheneveri come home the side covers are always lose. Looks like ill have to take care of this as well? :@

Hv read about users suggesting to use rubber washers for Honda 100 or making small holes on the sides and securing the covers with zip ties. Thanks.

Thank you for your suggestion bro. I think i'll go towards the more reliable route of tying these with elastic wires. Each of these costs 800PKR

it won't hurt to do both.
get new washers as well. tightly fit taapas will mean quiet ride, else they might make sound.

bottom rubbers of my GS have also given up, though upper two rubbers are in good condition and taapa still fit tightly.
I do have the zip tie solution also as backup as taapa have no locks and can't rely on washers only. Zip ties also make it harder to steal the taapa.

Must be a nightmare to open zipties though?

    hahaha
    why open them?
just leave them little loose when you put them on. Loose enough to take the taapa out of rubbers. They won't open once you have tightened them, you'll have to cut them off. But if you leave them little loose, you'll have a permanent solution. You can remove the taapa whenever you want without having to cut them open every time and taapa will just hang there.
