anyway, i am now noticing another variant of Zic 4T 20W-40 in market which is semi-synthetic. May be for next oil change, i'll try it.
Delo gold ultra costs ~500/L. These arent exactly cheap, shell ax5 and zic are much cheaper. Reason is just curiosity

Brother i would advise you NOT to buy a gs150 as the quality has become just like chondas now. It catches rust really quick and has a lot of electrical problems. I would advise you to just stick to a honda deluxe. Khuwari men phans jao *** le kar. Regards

Quick update on my GS :-)

I return home late at night, so the roads are completely empty. On islamabad highway this machine is an absolute joy with its torquey engine. At 80-85 its hardly doing 6.5-7k RPM, gearing is just perfect. Enjoying the ride immensely. The engine produces a whining noise from the gearbox as the bike picks up speed, it sounds fantastic and that just adds to the experience.

Weakness so far is the rubbish headlight which is of no use(seriously). Im going to upgrade it tomorrow and install some auxilary lights as well.

Havent noted fuel consumption but its around 35-40.

Bike has not given any problem on Delo Gold Ultra, im satisfied with performance of this oil, no clutch slippage or anything.

Brilliant experience so far :-) except for that electrical issue and the rusting

you are right bro this is an excellent bike but has some major quality issues , at our FB page of HORSEPOWER.PK this was the 1st bike we reviewed.

still love this bike for its engine . but because of lack of features like disk brake , looks and rusting issues i preferred piggio over it for myself.

many many congress on purchase of this powerful horse ...........!

Riding GS on lone roads at night time is really something.

yes, its simply too expensive for the quality it offers. still, i wanted it because of the engine and thankfully the engine is not a disappointment. i was prepared for issues but i wasnt prepared for mechanic shortage :p

still its serving me well now.

Seriously! I was riding it at 70 the other day and the engine note was SO calm that it felt like engine is at peace. the only ting ruining the experience was the TERRIBLE, RUBBISH headlight. I have to devise a solution for it yet

mechanic issue is there for all these bikes other then honda because those are giving us same engine since 20 yrs. we will not find good road side mechanics for these piggio's and gs150's

specially GS150 because its engine is technically very different. a local illiterate mechanic is even scared to operate on it.

but i am sure you will find a good one specialize in GS here is rwp , there are lots of good one's over here.

this is why gs is my first and last love till now . lets see if we get something better than this in the future, might upgrade then. better than this means in term of vibration less ride

vibration-less, with the same length(wheel base), comfort, smooth engine sound, 5 gears, better electrics, brakes, power and a host of other things.

My brother's 2012 model GS-150 has clocked more than 60k on odo, and he's such a happy user of it. (His claimed avg. is 45~50kpl and nothing spent other than tunings and oil changes so far)

Regarding mechanic part, he never faces issues when gets the tunings done from Suzuki specialist in Pindi. All other roadside mechanics suck.

Now a new suzuki operated setup is under construction in Peshawar Mor, Isb. And he's happy to get rid of Pindi tours just for bike tuning...

Thats really impressive bro. I dont expect my gs to survive that long on original clutch or piston because of the way i treat it:-) still you never know..

Im getting 36kmpl on it with a very aggressive riding style. I always give it full throttle when its safe, the acceleration is addictive

Im really satisfied with my GS at the moment as it is exceeding my expectations regarding the overall experience. Yes the electrical issue was a nightmare but that has since been sorted and ive also found a capable suzuki mechanic from babar autos :-)

Like i mentioned before i return home late at night and even at 80km/h you really dont feel anything, feels like you're at 40-50 because of the calm engine note and the ease with which it does that.

Ive fixed the poor lighting as well:-) .

    Total ridden: 1500KM (29-8-2014)
