Congratulations on your ride I love GS150. The fact that its the ONLY 150cc bike which actually makes sense (because of the engine) makes me respect this product. And yes, the quality control issues are still there, but really nothing deal breaker. Its not like you are gonna face problems in it as your daily driver. Just take good care of it, and the bike will return the same effort.

As for your breaking issue ... you "feel" satisfied because you have come from Sprinter, which is a relatively small bike, and does not have that much mass as a GS150. Once you get a hold of your bike, you will notice that these brakes are not "brakes". They are a "nightmare rolling down the road, waiting to happen". I hate drum brakes in general. The fact that they are useless once you go above 60-70 km/h ... YOU ARE DONE. Phir aap ko ALLAH he bacha sakta hay.

So if you have some cash left, i would really advise going for a Disk Brake. If you have operated a Disk Brake in the past, the "Response time" alone will be enough factor for you to move to it.

Also, if possible, get its Rims changed as well. Get better quality ones.

Thanks man. Yes drum brakes in general are useless over 70-80 for ALL bikes. I didn't buy the GS for the top speed but rather the ease with which you can just leave it in 5th and cruise.. also doesn't require much effort to get up to speed (you can shift at 3-4 without the engine protesting). I also bought this thing just because of the engine. In local production bikes no engine can match it (on specs and on the feel).

I'd still recommend going for a Disk Brake. OR, you should try one, just so you know how beneficial it actually is.

30k? Nah, that seems too much. Or maybe its because of Alloy Rims. Ask @junaidakhtar

Another observation that might help future buyers. On today's run on the VERY first gear shift(i think it was neutral to 1st), the bike made the khattak sound. But that's it, after that this sound magically disappears, no matter if you're shifting from neutral to 1st or whatever. Before buying i went through a lot of GS150 threads and found that @gull_s_777 made a similar observation.

So, khattak sound is there, but only once per day

PS for all requesting pics in sha Allah at night i'll have something better
