    Quite an informative post mate.
I my self am an admirant of the GS150 but the thing that stopped my from buying it was it has NO sound. I mean I want to listen the throttle as the fuel burns through the engine. GS wins over CG in every way but you just can't have the CG sound with any other bike.
Can you guys tell me one thing? 0 to 80 kmph, which bike would do faster? CG or GS? I had go with a GS once with my CG and till 80 I was all in all but then like poof he was gone. I hate the fact that CG does not have a 5th gear that would have increased the top speed and would have made the bike much more fuel efficient.

    oh i see,
i was wondering the top portion which we call "ainak" where shocks sit would be different cause of 150cc, the frome of gs would be a bit wider to support the such shocks,
    but all in all,
only 2 things that put me oof from buying this gs150 were,
poor body part finish and front barking so i suppose by removing the poor braking factor
i give u thumbs up for this gs150,
    enjoy my friend.

First, regarding rear brake issue, i hope you get it rectified easily. But if you can't then custom thicker leathers are way to go.
Rear drum is little bigger than it should be which requires to push the pedal down more to brake which results in not so good rear brake.
When Suzuki mechanic told he couldn't do anything about it as replacing the drum/shoes won't help because they will be same size, so i went to kharadia as the last resort. He removed the stock leathers from the shoes and got extra thick leathers attached on them. These leathers were almost twice thicker than brand new stock leathers. So thick that the brake shoe assembly didn't fit back into the drum. Then he peeled off extra thickness of leathers on his machine while rotating them. He kept peeling off 1mm at a time till they were shaved enough to fit back into drum. And all this resulted in perfectly thick leathers according to the drum requirement and as you can imagine, the result is superb. Total cost of this process was 350 rupee, which is same as getting new OEM shoes.
I couldn't take pics at that time. If i have the chance i'll take and share here.
Got it boss .. :-) the braking isn't CATASTROPHICALLY bad, as everyone thinks here.. its just lacking at higher speeds. Ill do your mods later ISA. Btw any need of replacing rim? Can get genuine araya 18 inch for 2k. For later upgrades that is

I only consider the engine and ride quality before buying.. poor braking can be rectified by those who feel it

It has sound.. just not at low revs. Its not as silent as GD and Pridor. On long journies the dug dug of the Cg makes the ears go numb (same with my old Sprinter). Try riding a GS. Thay result was because of 5th gear and the extra torque this bike has.

I don't deal with lot of khaddas and no overloading either so i am fine with stock rim.
But if you see your rims go out of alignment oftenly then it won't hurt to upgrade to a quality rim.

Just returned from my first city ride (30KM), and man, that rear brake is terrible! Seems like i'll have to deal with this brake issue sooner than expected. Also under hard front braking the bike really dives, which is also quite scary.

Rear brake doesn't respond like you would expect (aisa lagta hai 70 ki brake hai), and when it does, the rear wheel locks up, very strange. I'll definitely contact you before doing this kharadia business as i have no experience in this regard!

once you get proper size leathers to fill that drum, this issue will go away and you'll have good range of control as well.
And also ask the kharadia to apply tool (tool lagana) inside the drum which will remove any micro-irregularities on inner surface of drum thus making it perfectly round.

what do you mean by bike diving at front brake?

The bike's front shocks go in completely.. didnt happen with my sprinter but then that had hard shocks. Have to say the bike is extremely comfortable over bumps and uneven surfaces :-) and the temptation to just gun it in 1st and 2nd is just... cant wait till running is over

    what's scary about that?
i love it when shocks sink in on braking and then rise back on accelerating.
And carefull while gunning it in 1st, it'll be spinning its wheel before you know it.

@gull_s_777 today i was observing bike when i found out that some battery acid had spilled onto the exhaust cover (one that in middle, right below the taapa), absolutely killing the chrome on which it dripped. Thank God it didn't spoil any other parts of the exhaust, but i felt that the cover is a solid part of the exhaust as well, any suggestions, can i just hide it with a black sticker?

I checked the battery and the gifted mechanic had filled it TO THE BRIM, matlab upper level say bhi koi 2 3 cm upar.
