I adjusted idle screw while the engine was hot.. that's the best way to measure as the engine is performing at its full and you wont get RPM variations as you would on a cold engine. The stupid mechanic had set it up higher than usual so the gear shifting was not optimal as well.

I have good experience with Zic 20w-40, not the 10w-40.
I suggested to put in something thicker. How is 10w-40 thicker than SGO?

Haha :p they didn't have 20-40. Only other option was havoline 20-40, which i dont like. Actually wanted to experiment with this 'fully synthetic' ZIC. Waisay initial response to bike ka acha hai lets see how it holds up.

SUZUKI STRIKES AGAIN! So after wasting 4 hours on saturday i thought i had sorted out the battery problem but guess what, the new battery is also giving problem. Coincidence? I dont think so. So only problem could be that engine is not producing current :p On calling MR suzuki's manager he told me the problem is with the fuse, not the engine. And i remember, the damn fuse, the one thing that has been mentioned on the forums so many times.. But i cannot do anything now.. I dont know how to change/check the fuse.
@gull_s_777 any recommendations? which fuse should i use takay future men masla na day? ive looked around and a lot of GS owners report this problem. stupid suzuki
@jadoon1992_vxlimited kindly post your fuse solution as well. thanks

Problem isnt of fuse. I changed battery with friend's GS and it started without hiccup again. Hence battery charging ka masla hai. Ab ye pata nai kidhar beech men ja k niklay ga. to be honest im really disappointed by this problem. Yes its the only problem it has given me but im totally helpless about it. suba say sham naukri and then i have no time to take it to suzuki showroom. Honestly, im thinking about selling it.

Yaar fuse ko 2 wires connect krai hoti hen, in my junoon those were loose, wo fuse b sara deti thein aur battery disconnect b kar deti thein...

I changed fuse many times but final solution was gari ka fuse with thimble...

If ur bike's horn and indicators die suddenly while driving and then come back automatically then its fuse

I cannot relate more to this. It's a real pain taking my GD for maintenance. I have to wait a whole week for weekend to come so I may be able to have it serviced I feel like kids who are waiting for the morning on chaand raat to wear new dress and shoes

And allow me to share my secret feeling of selling my GD as well because I am thoroughly disappointed in after-sale service. Each time I discuss anything with them they tell me "this is not a problem, your bike is running perfectly." Damn!

Get this issue corrected in warranty, and ask the mechanic to show you on some voltmeter thingy that charging is working.

GD the bike with most refined engine among local bikes and packing a power punch in small package.
Sure sounds interesting option if one wants a small bike.

Bike men to problem hai hi chalo wo theek hai but no after sales! That totally kills it. Im willing to give my GS a couple of more chances though.. i dont have a better option. Only option is to downgrade to cg125 deluxe or simple. But those bikes dont have any luxuries to sprinter par hi wapas a jaun ga nice experience :p

On Pakistani roads with local bikes, minor problems are inevitable. It would be rare to have a new ride with less than a few glitches. I rarely used my CG since last year but ever since I started using it, it is a big big pain in the a$$. Problem is, I started using it in "katchy pakkay" and rough roads.
