    Default GS 150 accident

    Salam,

I hope all are well here. I was pleasurably riding my bike for the last one year or so.
But suddenly today i had a small accident (hit by another biker kid). I used the word
"kid" deliberately because he was a kid by every aspect. None of us was hurt. But
my GS 150 was hit on the front tire and it has been hurt bad because he was travelling
pretty swift and i was just crossing the Square (Chowk). I dnt know about his bike
though. My front shocks and mud flap has been damaged. I just want to know:

    1. How can i get my front suspensions fixed (they are bend) ?
    2. How can i get my front mud flap fixed ?
    3. Who is the best person for these jobs in Rwp/Isb ?

I only have tomorrow for this so please help me asap.

    @hidalgo @vickytulla @gull_s_777 @ammarzahid @12gauge

    Thanks and Regards,
    Asim Ilyas

get the suspension replaced, i wouldnt advise on mending such a crucial part of the motorcycle. You can get it fixed at babar autos (committee chowk)

If this is the first time then you can go for repair because it will be strong still. Without pics, we cannot say anything.

@alpha13! I'd judge better if i see a picture of the accident to tell you better.

Not to worry Though. Find any Denter Workshop, specifically who deal with Bikes. He will disassemble the front of your bike, including the front suspension including stem steering (عینک), and he will try to straighten it out using hathoras. In most cases it will work just fine.

You will have to change some balls for stem steering, which help your bike's handle turn. At best you will have to spend Rs.500.

In most cases like this, Stem Steering (which hold your front portion with the bike, as well as the front forks) has to be changed. I learned this after some bitter experience. So IF, after this repairing:
    - you feel that your front forks are not working properly (as in they are getting stuck between fork travel etc), or
    - your front portion feels mis-aligned

... then get a brand new stem steering and change it.
Riders on the storm ... literally.

@alpha13! You can also check my thread here: https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/bik...-7#post4449978

The post (liked above) should show you pretty good information about what is needed in these kind of situation. The post (linked above) does not completely tell you about your kind of story, but it should give you pretty good idea about it.

    Ouch. Thats a nasty blow.

If i were you i would just replace the damaged parts, repairing them is the short term route, bending them with hammers will most certainly weaken them.

Babar autos is located just before committee chowk underpass if u take a left turn(the road with a lot of auto workshops). You can consult him as well

Well i tried searching for Babar autos for half an hour and went all through to Dhok khabba from committee chowk. But just couldn't find that workshop. So i just had the job done from Ali Autos in committee chowk. Bundle of thanks for the help though.

Thanks. All work was done in about Rs. 1000/- (approx) (including front and rear wheel alignment/straightening plus suspension and mud guard work)

There is one question in my mind which is not shoo-ing away.
    1. Is it possible for the tyre to bend in such as way (as in my bike) without the shocks bending ? (Because i think that my front shocks were okay even before i had them mended/straightened. Can someone through some light on this please...)

Can anyone please tell me the exact location of Babar Autos... !
