Default Engine Oil for GS150 EuroII

    Salamz everybody!

this is my very first thread.

I am quite confused with the engine oil selection for my Suzuki GS150 EuroII 2013/14

I previously had GS150 2008 and I was stuck with ZIC Hiflo 20W-50 as the previous owner was using the same oil and engine was set to 20W-50.

I recently upgraded to GS150 2013/14 (5000KMS) and like every-other person I am also dis-satisfied with Suzuki Genuine Oil 10W-40
Just because its a new bike so I cannot use 20w-50 so I start using ZIC A 10W-40 Synthetic. but it seems that Zic A doesn't last too long because after every 500KMS the engine sound was getting loud and I was changing the oil for every 500KMS

so now, as 20W-50 is not recommended for new engines and 10W-40 was not performing well after 500KMS
the OIL shopkeeper suggested me to go for ZIC M 15W-40 as its is in the middle of 10W-40 and 20W-50. It seems quite sensible to me and I decided to go for ZIC M 15W-40 Gasoline.

Now the sad story is my just after 2KMS the Tappet start sounding too loud, and even the gear starts heavy sound (KHATTAK) on every shift. NOW I am again going to oil shop to drain this ZIC M 15W-40.

BUT which oil should I select now. I am very much confused. as I tried all the three grades of ZIC and I am not satisfied.
20W-50 can be a good selection but I cannot use it in new engine and secondly it requires much more time to pump and its thick as well.

you are using improper engine oils in your bike that is why you facing issues with gears smoothness
and engine performance Zic Hiflo & Zic A & Zic M are car engine oils you should buy proper motorcycle
engine oil for your bike i suggest you to buy Zic 4t 20w40 mineral engine oil for you GS150
our one senior fellow Gull bhai is using this oil in his GS150 and it is performing best in his bike i used this oil
in my pridor 100 & now using in my CD70

Liqui moly is very good quality engine oil but its imported engine oil so expensive
and not easily available its available in big cities as khi isl & lhr
you can give a try to LM but from local brands Zic 20w40 is excellent engine oil

always try to purchase big or known dealer in city this way you can be safe from buying fake engine oil

Finally i switched to Zic 4T as recommended by amjad. Liquimoly was not available though the shopkeeper was saying to go for Mobil 1 but he also said that you will feel no difference.

So I decided to go for ZIC 4T semi-synthetic 20w-40 but it was available in 0.75 ltr so I had to buy two. The tappet sound magically went away. I'll update rest of the results soon.

If you want to use thick oil don't pour full quatity of oil a lil less thick oil will do its job but due to a lil less quantity the pressure on engine will be lesser
