Unhappy Oil Leakage in Engine Area What to do?

    Dear Pakwheelers,

I Have Jialing Jh70 which is performing very well and good average but i saw today oil seepage/ leakage on specific point of engine area is there any danger sign because i am worried that isnt these are the sign of engine life is over (i mean complete overhauling) or does these 3 bolts have seals that have to be changed

kindly tell me what to do with this issue i want to get rid of oil leakage

    Regards

Oil Leakage in Engine Area What to do? -1493768

    @ArshadXaidi
No major issue just the seal shown in red is leaking .. need to get it replaced .. if the oil is not being reduced signaficantly (as it looks in the pic) then no urgency as well

the bigger one looks like the drain nut .. it is also possible that the leather seal of drain nut has given away ...

go to mechanic and show him leakage area .. on a second thought it look like oil spill from drain nut and air pressure has taken it upwards .. not a costly expenditure .. u'll get it replaced in no time

if the oil is not being reduced much then get it changed on next oil change since you'll have to drain oil for the operation and i'm quite certain that it is a drain nut issue .. initially i thought it is a car gear box then i read your post again to know that its a bike ..

just to be sure clean it and see if u get the same pattern back after 3-4 days .. otherwise it is just the footprints of oil outside the nut during oil change

the bigger one is for oil drain and the seal is of shifter lever going into transmission case.. clean the under belly use warm water with liquid soap and brush, wipe clean with rug and leave over night to check actual seepage

as @Naweed: Mentioned its the gear lever seal

others all good, no need to worry.

Replace the seal hardly 45 or 50 rupees.

My CD70 same seal changed this thursday.

the three bolts highlighted by you in pic out of them bigger one is timing chain bolt
or mechanic say timing chain adjuster can't say anything confirm there is spring inside
that bolt when remove bolt spring comes out well what ever it is regarding your issue
and concern may the culprit in only that bolt oil is leaking from it & making dirty other
engine bolts too i recommend don't get engine opened may be seal are absolutely fine
its only the leakage from bolt go to the mechanic whom you trust most & is honest
many mechanics would try to convince you for opening engine by saying chamber seals are broke
whole engine needs to be open
