Does it really cost 3k to change a spring? The bike starts and runs perfectly

    there could be three reason
1)the tooth type design which connect kick lever with shaft is worn up
2)the shaft is broken from some where
3)the spring inside the engine is brokem
    solutions
1)the tooth type is worn it will be only repair in liaquadbad block 2 bike market's back street there are some mechanic that changes the design of shaft by grinder in desi mechanic language (palle bante hai)
2)if shaft broken from some where there is no solution you need to get it welded it the breaking point is reachable if not full engine will be opened as kick shaft is loacted at the bottom of engine in that case use self starter to start bike unit your engine requires overhaulding
3)inner spring broken it the most dangerous part it can't be repaired some mechanic installs outer spring but I am not sure about that it will work on cd 185 or not

Well the bike starts with it, the problem is when it starts the kick stays down makes a noise, I had to tie it so it doesn't go down, when the bike is not on the kick tends to stay up if I pull it from my hand upwards. So if the spring is damaged, its not possible to change it?

The situation you are asking shows that inner spring is broken and for changing spring complete engine will be openened
Some machanics fix a spring at the outer side of the engine and kick go up automatically if you need pictures tomorror i will post them because right now the bike is unavailable

Kindly do show me the pictures please asap, I spoke to my own mechanic, he said it would be changed by opening the crank case of the motorbike, but he isn't free for a week, I'll use this sort of tweak till then.
