Default Is buying a bike a good financial investment?

So sort of strange situation, my chauffeur has expressed his intent in buying a bike. Now unfortunately his financial situation puts him in the market for those Chinese bikes that are flooding our roads.

If he won't lose too much money (or even gain some) by buying a Honda or some other marquee brand, I'd be more than happy to help him out. But there's no point in doing so of course if those bikes also depreciate in value as quickly as their Chinese counterparts, and he's left in a precarious financial situation.

As someone who knows absolutely nothing about bikes, can someone offer some feedback, and give me some advice.

In this situation and in my opinion only second hand bike option would be much suitable. CD-70 is known for the best resale but even this if you buy a brand new depreciation will occur.
