No 90/90 is the stock size of tire you don't need to change the rim even if you are installing a bigger tire. Just change the rear tire only if you want looks and road grip then go for 100/90 but you would be compromising on acceleration and fuel efficiency.

No my dear you don,t need to change stock rear tyre or rim i am still using stock rear tyres in my GS150 until now my bike is 14k driven i have found no problem with stock tyres if you set tyres pressure in your bike by company recommendation you will found no need to change any of stock tyres stock tyres are very very well gripped tyres

yes people use stock tyres but its better to change the rear one because it does not have that much grip to control the weight of gs. i changed the stock tyre after 1400 kms and after i realized that it needs to be changed. my friend's brother recently went from Karachi to Chakwal on stock tyre on 2013 gs. but its better to spend a few hundred rupees and get something better

This is a very good comparison, if you want to check which Rim can fit what sizes of tyres: Rim to Tyre Application Chart

    2.75*18 -- 1.40/1.60/1.85
    3.00*18 -- 1.60/1.85/2.15

If the stock rear rim of GS150 is 1.60*18, then the maximum tyre you can put, is a 3.00*18, which isn't very good for a GS150, if you ask me.

I'll say it again. Go for a Disk Brake setup. You might have to spend nearly 20k on it, but i am sure you understand the difference it can make. Ofcourse you'll have to get bigger tyres. I'd say choose Tubless Radials.

Upgrade to what? A CD70? :p Thats the only sensible upgrade for married people -_-

Anyway, if budget is an issue, why even bother changing the rear tyre? Let it run as it is.

Congratulations. You have made a wise choice. just take good care of the chrome d parts. They are prone to rust quickly. BTW what is the ex factory price for GS these days?
