    Bro If u wana enjoy real GTO ride then go for stock bike which will cost u around 35~50K. Geting GTO 125 in poor condition & restoring it will never gives u satisfaction.

    I sold my GTO 125 1 1/2 years back for Rs. 22,000/- only. It was a 1990 model and was not in the best of conditions.

    Is kawasaki GTO 125 still in production? In late 60s it was the hottest bike in Pakistan.

    @misc420
    It is out of production now. Last model was in 1991 I believe.

    One of the reasons it is so popular with racers is its 5 speed gear box and its sports like frame with dual bars. It was very stable on high speeds and could easily touch 140 KM plus depending on the lunatic (literally and I was one as well) whose riding it. On plane roads, it was unmatchable by any local bike. On the looks front it is still very good looking if it is properly restored.

    One more reason for its popularity was its bambastic sound when silencer was removed. It literally is deafening.

    Dear All

    Its a typographic mistake by me. I never meant to say 60s but wanted to say late 80s. I was in Engineering university and cg125 from Honda, GTO 125 from Kawasaki and RX115 from Yamaha were great bikes of that time. In all races GTO was the usual winner. However RX 115 had a speacel appeal as it was used in some movie from Hong Kong (I forget the name). Kawaski GTO was a good looking beast. I think it is not in production anymore.

    Another monster of that time was Kawasaki KE 175 trail bike. It was a real kick *** bike and I had myself taken it to 160 kph. University boys used to pick the cap of traffic police cops and run away. It was impossible to catch KE 175. Yamaha Enduru 100 and Honda XL 100 were also popular among students but they were no match to KE 175s. Has anyone seen a KE 175 latelty in Pakistan?
