    Default Tappets Rattling Sound - CG 125 Deluxe 2007

    Dear Brothers,

    My bikes tappets rattles very badly, many times adjusted (in cold state) by many 'Ustaads' but no use. Its noise is getting on my nerves really. Can someone guide me the reason of this problem and answer too, please. How to and from where to get this mess done right. Jazak Allah Khair.

    if you use correct oil and adjust valves to factory specs then it should not rattle

    Thanks for comments (Imran Bhatti, Ahmed Raja, Vickytulla, Metalhead and Xulfiqar); serial wise replies are as:

    1. Noise starts in the beginning and increases as engine gets hotter, sometimes it feels like tappets are 'Free' inside the head.

    2. Previously used 'Havoline 20W50' normally used for cars. Recently changed to 'Kixx 20W50'. Interval of change between 1000 to 1200 kms. Can you suggest proper oil for this engine? No idea about factory specs.

    3. Performance decreases, fuel consumption increased.

    4. Overheating is never felt. But sometimes decrease in efficiency is noticed.

    5. No idea about 'lower rockers'.

    Actually no 'proper mechanic/workshop' is known to me in Rawalpindi or Islamabad. Shown to many, but no proper diagnosis. Confused at the moment, no idea what to do. Sound is increasing everyday...

    Two people are mentioning their problems here.
    @Navqam
    There is a Honda shop in g10. I think you should take your bike to him. I can ask my friend for the name and address, if you like.
    @vickytulla
    Over heating has many reasons. Like low engine oil, lean mixture, bad ignition timing, clogged engine fins, etc.

    How does your friend drive? Is he a new driver? May be he is riding the clutch. Too much clutch slipping while in traffic. But then it should not over heat on open roads.

    I believe the valve clearances are checked. As you didn't mentioned above.

    The guys name is Iqbal but I am not sure about it. You may find him a little rude but he its like this due to customers behaviour. You know here on pw, changing the road side mechanics mentality is very difficult.

    Thanks very much bro, no problem about his behavior/attitude, all i need is his expertise only, and if he fixes my bikes problem in a good manner.
