Aoa,
I am looking for a Naked Bike in Pakistan. Something like the Triumph Speed Triple (image attached) but may be a bit lighter (600cc or less). Something which I can get now and then sell for a reasonable price 6 months down the road. What would you guys suggest?
There was a Yamaha XJ 6 for sale recently. Finding a naked street bike can be a challenge in Pakistan. Very few, very rare hardly does anything ever come for sale. You might want to check a Suzuki GSR 600 @ Multan. A few Ducati monster (very high mileage) were also up for sale. plus a Ducati Street Fighter. Kawasaki Z1000s also available. Maybe an FZ1 also but the two i saw had scrapped side covers indicating that they had taken a fall. These are the million plus bracket. If you are looking for something cheaper - you might be able to find Suzuki Bandits the 400 & 250 inline 4 cylinder.
Funny thing is that most of the imports into Pakistan are sports bike. Not the most comfortable riding position, hardly any decent roads to ride them.
yes there should be some cruise type bike but in some reasonable prices. v-max, v-rod, shadow-line etc...
V max has serious heating issues. Never seen one on the roads - mostly need in workshops.
There are a lot of cruisers (Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda, Harley Davidsons) - money makes the world go round, as they say.
Depends on what your budget is.
Okay so my budget is 8-9 lakhs, might be able to stretch it to 10 if I really like the bike. Do you know of any bike that falls in this range, is up for sale, is easy ride/maintainable. It would be one of my first bikes and I plan to make long road trips on it so wouldn't want anything that breaks often.

Do ensure that the documents are in order. Cross check with Excise & Taxation Department. You dont want to pay good money for an illegal/ non custom paid, altered, body swapped, paper forged bike.
Also, check mechanicals - engine, suspension, etc. always give preference to a well cared for bike.
Liquid Cooled. Prefer liquid cooled.
as they operate at sustained temperature and therefore the engines last longer as compared to air cooled engines. With 8 months of summers in Pakistan - most of the riding is done in higher temperatures - especially the city driving - stopping at long signals etc.
This is going to be my first bike purchase and I don't know how I will be able to ensure that the bike I am getting is in proper condition/paperwork and the right money as well. Anyhow thanks for the suggestions, will keep you posted!
Not in for the Yamaha XT660 series, they are a bit too trail bike like for my taste. I love the Yamaha XJ 6 but it is too pricey
How about these two?

I would suggest that you buy a used Suzuki Inazuma. Should cost around 450 to 500k. Since you are only using it for 6 months and selling it.
Another bigger displacement bike would be hard to sell. And would put a big dent in your pocket after six months. Guaranteed. Inazuma is a new - & thus more reliable option.
KTM is a very rare bike @ Pakistan. This Duke 650 is probably one of the two currently in Pakistan - that I am aware of. Ducati would be very expensive and then again an air cooled and probably a high mileage one.
I don't want to sound a bit amateurish but Inazauma is a bit to 'standard' bike like to me. There isnt much of a difference between it and Yamaha YBR as far as only shape is concerned.
I don't mind loosing some cash for resale value, but my priority is to get something that really looks like a proper naked bike rather than something like Inazuma.
