Thread: need a little help concerning top speed

    Default need a little help concerning top speed

    aoa i have little problem with my cg125 2016 euro 2 model about the top speed pick is awesome but it only goes to 95 to 100 max ..and its never going up from 100 can someone tell me what is the fault its 125cc engine it must be doing atleast 115kmph i am not a speed lover or so but i just tested the top speed but its giving only 100 or 95 ??my ride is only 1800km drived changed my first oil at 300 then 600 and then 1000 and now i will change at 2000 tuning was done on 1400km as there was eid .i am thinking is the engine weak or something

    Well, Boris (Boris? Are you a Russian?) if the bike's "pick" or 'acceleration' is fine and you also don't happen to be a "Speed Freak" then why you're concerned about TOP SPEED in the first place...?

    Harley Davidson riders are also like you, they care about 'Torque' or 'Acceleration' and don't give a dime about TOP SPEED... Hence, a 1,600cc V-Twin Harley churns out just... JUST around 70HP at the crank! For comparison; A Suzuki SV650 makes 75 even though its just a 650cc V-Twin... A Super Sports like Kawasaki ZX6R with a 636cc inline-4 engine churns out nearly 140HP at the crank! But do Harley fellows care? No, they don't... They just RIDE...

    STILL NOT CONVINCED AND WANT TO TOUCH 300KM/H ON YOUR CG125...???

    Yamaha R125, the king of 125cc bikes signs-off at around 130KM/H and it makes 15HP, and goes just 120KM/H with the head-up (Just watch the video)... Your CG125 makes 11HP which is just 73% of R125's full potential...

    And the 73% of 130KM/H speed would be 95KM/H... I know, it's not a realistic way to calculate top speed, there are so many factors to consider... But when you consider the aero-dynamic shape of R-125, Water Cooling, tight engine tolerance, Four Valves & Dual overhead camshafts instead of CG's push-rods, 100KM/H is about the most you can squeeze out of your CG...

    AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, A 4-STROKE 125CC IS A TINY ENGINE, AND THEIR SOUL PURPOSE IS COMMUTING, LET IT BE CG125 OR R125...

    Be realistic & reasonable, brother...

    but i have seen cg 2016 crossing 110 to 120kmph? why cant i achieve

    maybe your bike's meter is calibrated properly as I've seen most 125's doing 120 are at 105 maximum when their meter is compared to a car's speedo in real time.

    hmm maybe but 100 feels so much on 125 lol i have moved from 70 but my butt is totally shelled while driving for 20 to 30km continously xD

    Seriously I don't understand the logic of getting oil changed 4 damn times till 2000km.
    Once a European was near to death when i told that people in Pakistan change engine oil every 3000-5000km. I know dust factor but still....!!
    At least 10000 or even 15000 is more than normal there.
    <..If everything seems under control, U r not going fast enough..>
