Default New "Altron" Range of Fuels from PSO

    Salam Guys

The fuel used all over the world has higher octane number than the one we get in Pakistan.
Fuel with Research Octane Number (RON) 91-92 is pretty much the standard currently.

While the fuel we get here is 87 RON from almost all petrol pumps i guess.
Except "Total" which claims their fuel 90 RON already.

PSO recently introduced new "Altron" range of fuels and plans to make Altron Premium the basic option now which is 92 RON. Currently it is being sold on the same price as old fuel.

So what does this mean for our bikes? Is this the next go to fuel now?
    Anyone tried it yet.

We have bikes ranging from engine compression ratio of 8 to 10.
    Examples
    8 - CD70, Pridor
    9 - CG125, GS150
    10 - YBR125, Piaggio

tried it on cg125 , bike start missing and overheat after awhile. probably cause of old fuel present in tank or carb setting not matching.

didnt notice much difference in acceleration . gonna recheck after tank empty and carb readjust

What I have come to know and understand, ALTRON X is high octance and not suitable for our local manufactured bikes. ALTRON premium is an upgrade to Supreme Petrol.

I would like to +1 for Total petrol as they are already providing better petrol than any other company. Whenever I used petrol from other than Total, my sprinter become sluggish and top end decreases.

I have my bike the last refill with ALTRON Premium and have found it much better than PSO previous quality.

Lets pray that this is not a game to increase fuel prices. After few months they might increase the prices under the name of ALTRON and who knows the petrol will be back to pathetic quality.

Bhai. I think k octane increase say performance decrease nai hogi. Haan cold start and cold missing hougi. But incase of 97 Ron. Not in 91-92.. esa kuCh nai houga. Rather kum carbon aega aur better fuel avg hougi. Performance foran naI paTa lagni. 2-3 fuel tanks k baad avg better hogi

Altron Premium seems good choice for GS.

Altron X has 97 RON which might be suitable for high compression engines only. YBR125??

As per my poor knowledge, High RON petrol is for high compression engines.

What’s the compression ratio of Wego?
    YBR has 10.0:1
