    No. 4 is Honda Motors and 5 slots is with Yamaha whereas, Kinetic, Suzuki and Enfield also play a significant role in Indian Motor cycling with Enfield with a distinct niche in Indian biking for the last 50 years as a classic motor cycle ( and now one of the biggest exporter as well ).

    All these bikes starts selling as low as 29,000/- and go well upto 83,000/- for the top end models.
    Alloy wheels, electric starts, Discs at front, Tachometers comes as standard on majority of mid segment bikes and you have a very big choice if you are ready to spend anything between 35000/- to 55,000/- with all these amenities and engine power ranging from 125 cc to 180 cc.

    And now comes the new technologies in the form of Electronic fuel injection, Liquid cooled engines, Digital speedos and tachometers, Discs at rear wheels, Xenon headlamps and LED tail lamps.

    Hero Honda Glamour 125 cc is equiped with Fuel injection devices with computers on board. All top end Bajaj bikes following suit with already mastering the Duel twin spark ignition technology.

    Engine power is getting bigger with every year passing and the craze with 150 cc bikes has been taken over by 180 to 225 cc bikes ( Cannot compare the 350 enfield bullets here ) Paintworks are one of the best with a variety of colours on offer.

    To make any model survive the Bike maker has to continously upgrade the bike every 4-6 months and after 4 years it is considered that the model needs a total revamping otherwise it will perish.

    Sales graphs are as fragile as glass as competition is very stiff as no bike can maintain 6 to 12 months superemacy here.

    Next 2-3 years will see enormous money being put to R&D labs of these bike makers with bike models challenging world models in upper cc segments ( 250 to 400 cc ).

    India is already exporting around 5 lakh + bike each year (with domestic consumption of 56 lakh 5.6 million ) bikes in the year 2006 to Latin America, South east Asia, Africa and even to some European Countries as well

    Shergill,
    What about the suspension of Indic bikes? You see that here we have got all bikes with very harsh suspension with virtually non-existing shock absorption. Are Indic bikes better in this regard or all their attention is focussed on styling alone???

    Well Guys,

    I have been through this thread and been going crazy on the exploitation of all these companies in Pakistan.

    Now listen carefully all members with all rides, would you people like to register your protest? I have a suggestion. We will make a thread on pakwheels, sort of a petition all of us will write about our rides their make and models and in the end ask the respective companies to improve their standard to international standard, we can mention the options offered in the indian bikes but not in pakistan.

    In the end we will send these petitions to our local manufacturers and to their head offices in Japan also.

    In this way they will be knowing the dis satisfaction of consumers.

    All i need is a petition participating more than 250 people, i will my self take their printout and send them to the companies on my own expenses.

    So guys if you think i am right join your hands with mine, i am waiting and looking forward to your response. Its the time that we take our reservations to these people.

    Plz someone tell me

    (1) The way to tight up the chain of ECO,
    (2) Secondly I want to know, will it have any effect to hold the Clutch of the bike in fourth gear for one or two minutes on slopes for fuel economy like most of people do and then leave it again to gain speed and the hold it again.
    (3) I bought oil Caltex Havouline 30-w50 but its recommended then 20-w40 should be put in the bike, will it have any effect(30-w50)
    (4) Whats about the oil filter and when it is to be changed in the ECO.

    holding your clutch and releasing it is not a good habbit this might wear your clutch early plus its such a stupid thing to do ya u might gain few more km lekin es sa bahtar hai cycle la lo phir

    About oil u can put any 20w-50w oil in ur bike or 20w-40w oil but in summers 20w-50w oil is recomended as its little more thick than 20w-40w.

    @ VWPassat

    Infact, it is not only the suspension but everything on almost all the Indian Bikes comes world class and if any bike comes with any fault it finds an immeidiate repursal in the market and as such here Bike Companies cannot afford to offer anything which is not world class.

    What to talk of suspension of these bikes, here all the shock absorber/suspension parts makers like Escorts, Gabriel, Arm strong, Munjal Shova and a long list of OEMs are already exporting their products for the last 15 years to European and other developed destinations. They offer minimum 12 months to 24 months unconditional exchange guarantee of their products.

    Almost all the premium and even mid segment bikes in India comes with Gas filled shock absorbers. Honda Unicorn even has a single mono shock absorber at its rear.

    Question=1) The way to tight up the chain of ECO,

    Answere=its simple but dont try it at home, simply ap pehly mechanic se tight kar walo, osy observe karo, aik do bar samjh lo..phir khud ghar pe karna..bohat asan hai..

    Question=2) about gripping the clutch..
    Answere=dear do this only in specific time when u have very low fuel, if u do it in routine it cause the damage to clutch wire, and decrease the clutch life.

    Question=3)about Caltex Havouline 30-w50 or 20-w40,
    Answere= Sorry...i dont have enough ino abt tht.

    Question=4) About the changing of oil filter...
    Answere=so simple..if u change oil after every 1000Klm, then u can change filter after 3000 or 4000 thouand,
