Whats the duration of oil change in the Sprinter. Someone on this forum said that after 800kms, its very rapid, My friend who is very expert with engines says that oil should be changed after 1500kms and rapid oil change reduces engine life. I also personally donot believe on rapid oil change and I will change after 1500kms. Some people also change after 2000kms and even once a year in my case for my old Honda 70.
I have changed the oil on 400kms and when I will go for first service after 1000 will they change my oil? When should I change it?

    @ bilal!

bro its ok if you change it after every 1500-2000 kms...i also do the same with my bike....and you changed it on 400 for the first time...now change it when you have completed 2500 or 3000 kms... when my bike was on running,i changed first oil on 500 and second on 3000 as suggested by suzuki...

What do u suggest about these things. Please guide me::

    (1) Air Filter
    (2) Oil Change
    (3) Oil filter
    (4) Plugs

One guy on this forum said that
    (1) Air Filter Must be replaced after 2000km
    (2) Oil Change must be after 800KM
    (3) Oil filter after 4000km....
    (4) Plugs should be after 5000 Kilometere....
But I think he is very very rapid in this regard.
I want ur guidance Xtrem bro.

Bilal i would like to talk with that friend of yours who thinks rapid oil change can reduce engine life hehe :p...

Now with oil changes there is a big difference between a engine of car and a motorcycle engine...

Now whats the difference, a car engine normally have a RPM of around 8 and a bike have an rpm of 12-14 now bcoz the Bike engine is a high revolution engine the oil loses the viscosity or u can say its thickness way before a car engine and bcoz our bikes here uses the same engine oil in gears as well i mean in all our local bike the mobil oil also lubes the gears and gears makes the engine oil contaminate then we have a wet clutch plate system now wet clutch plate system means the clutch is dipped in the oil and that also contaminate the oil way sooner than car engine..

car engine have separate oil for gears and a dry clutch plate system so if ur changing ur bikes oil like car than i m afraid it might last but when u will go for a rebuild u might have to change a lot more things than a person who is changing oil regularly and on time..

Engine life totally depends on oil if u can afford change your oil after every 1000Km and the max u can is 1500 Km above that isn't recomended....

When u go for 1st tunning change ur oil and a new engine bcoz its new the grinding of new parts produces more contamination than an old engine thats why u have to change the oil of new engine 2 or 3 times before the running completes...

Always use good oil i use Castrol GTX people say caltex havoline is good but i have experienced bcoz the bike engine produces a lot more heat the Havoline starts to fail at around 800km the oil starts to reduce a bit plus if u push ur bike really hard u can smell the burning oil...

Now the choice is yours i would recomend you should change your oil on 1000. then u should change it at 1600 Km bcoz the suzuki engine breaks in late u should change it at 2000 KM and after that every 1500 Km and Oils if u can find Total Quartz 5000 Oil that will be best 1 liter casts 230 but its the best oil and latest but the 1 liter pack is hard to find if u can find that than go for GTX and than Havoline... always use 20w-50w oil in the bike

    @ bilal
bro it depends upon the usage,
well bike engines should b given oil change after max 1200kms,
wat do u think, or if u r a slow gear accelerator then
    1500
well ur bike ll tell u
then note that reading down n inform ur self that it ll find changes on . . . kms,
but for next time dothat before 100kms atleast
    hahaha
    easy step

    @ bilal!

about the air filter,i think its a very important thing for smooth running and must be cleaned..i change the air filter of my bike after every 2 tunings...

about oil filter, get it changed whenever you get the oil changed,,thats wut i do..

and about the plug, it goes for about 3000-4000 kilometers easily...but get the plug from SUZUKI itself...dont use other ones...

My ECO has done 950kms, I have done 110km/hr with double sawari today. I will go for first service tomorrow. By the way, is thier any differrence in fuel consumption of Normal Sprinter(54000 wali) and Sprinter ECO?

well yes 950km is enuff for 1st tuning...

and i recommend that when you get it tuned for 1st time, start reving up ur bike....take it to 50-60kmph in 2nd gear....dont hesitate...its not 70..it will go easily there.i know you'll call me mad but i have taken my bike to 80kmph in 2nd gear many times, specially after 1st tuning, coz somebody told me that khainchnay say bike kee performance khultee hai..if you do it for abt 500km,you'll start feeling that its performance has started boosting up...its important for best performance....during this REVING PERIOD,bike will consume a little more petrol but dont worry....coz the average fuel consumption of bike is almost set now as running is almost complete

Today I visited the Suzuki showroom Commetti chowk,Rwp for first tuning. I saw that they have also added the Normal Sprinter to the catagory of ECO. There are printed advertisements for it there, just like ECO saying that it also does 73km/litres. So,now its confirmed that there is no difference in the Engine of Normal Sprinter and ECO. And they both can do 65+ if driven with normal speeds. Mine also giving 65km/litres now. NowI have completed running willl it maintain it after running.

    @ bilal!

yeh i know company claims same mileage for both...
if somebody remembers than about 2-3 years ago, when SPRINTER was very new and there were no GS,suzuki used to advertise sprinter on TV...there was a good add having a logo of 73 KILOMETER WAALEE when the husband teases his wife by saying this line...remember??means both have same mileage (ECO AND SPRINTER)

bilal bhai now you can drive ur bike however you want...no fears...take it to 90-100 quite often (if you have roads)...iss say engine khulay ga
