Default On Demand Sad Story of my cd 100

Yar vaqas yeh kia story pooch li hai

I just got crazy june 2006, fell in love with CD 100, sold my Honda CD 70 2000 model (completely genuine condition) and got a CD 100.

it has done 8200 KM to date, and following of its components has been changed

Timing Chain and Goats (3650 KM)
Oil Seals of Magnet Side (4200 KM)
Third Gear and its Washer (6500 KM)
and lastest its ring piston (8000 KM)

I use High Octance with Super Petrol and Havoline Mobil Oil. and within these 8200 its oil has been changed at least 12 times. Yar i just want to weep like hell. I dont want to keep it now. There is no point in keeping such a thing that will need complete engine change after doing every 7000 - 8000 KM. When i tried to sell it, it is not giving me more than 45000, I feel like screwed up. This f**** company is selling these products without any check on its quality.

If someone of you have suggestions, i will appreciate it very much.

    Gentlemen

There mechanics know nothing about this bike, i know there are some problems with this model, but all this
    Kick slipping
    Starting Problem
    Bad Torque
or Bad Fuel Consumption are just hearsay,

Problem with my is that it was not fitted properly, and thats why it gave me so much problems with engine. Even in this 0 or - 1 temperature my bike starts on second kick without using choke. It all that depends on the quality of Petrol and Mobil Oil.

As far as torque is concerned this is the best thing in this bike, its front tyre take the same load as rear tyre, and it gives less vibration more grip and smooth ride. Ride is on road for a long distance at the speed of 90 + you will know the difference. If you dont look at the Speedometer you can say that its going that fast.

Guys if you know that CG 125 weighs only 94 Kgs and this weighs 98 Kgs, it ought to consume fuel to drag that sort of weight, i have already told you that the extra weight adds to the smoothness and safety of this bike.

Although engine has some problems its not with all CD 100 models, and its worth taking that risk, i company offers me to replace its engine i will gladly accept that offer.

This is my personal view, to me safety and comfort of my ride is the most important factor.

People complain about weight of CD 100 and 125 Deluxe its for their own good yaar. Han as far as its problems of engine are concerned i am fighting for that.

Its too bad that i still love it and cant help it

I hope it will work better now and the work done on your bike r u satisfied with it ?
I dont know they will offer u a engine swap bcoz they strictly say in their manual we will only replace the prob part.....

BTW you ever checked the fuel consumption of the bike ?

i m also going to switch from 70cc to 100cc bike not sure which one should i buy. Junoon, Sprinter eco, sprinter..

CD 100 i wont bcoz not many people say positive things about it.

A few weeks ago I also happened to see a CD100 owner who had just got new Rings/ Pistons installed. Mileage was less than 10,000. New CG125 is much better option if you don't want the 70.

yar before getting its engine repaired its was giving me 58 - 59 KPL within city. and on road its mileage was about 62 - 64 KPL, after change of ring pisotn i havnt checked its milage.

As far as choice of a new 100 CC motorbike is concerned i would advise you to wait for some more time around a year.

There are many menufactureres offering 100 CC category but wait till you get some report of these bikes.

I personally do not like suzukis, and a friend of mine has a junoon, he went to gujranwala on his junoon and its silencer burst open on the speed of 90, he got it replaced and it burst once again. A cousin of mine has a sprinter 2003 model and its rear shock absorbers do not bear the load of two people its tire hits the mudguard. And you have read the plight of my Honda CD 100.

I think best is to wait and see which manufecturer maintains this model and improves it. there are a lot of rumors of discontinuing CD 100 and junoon.

I also hurried to make a decision and i m facing its consequences.

And dont get biased by my comments i clearly say that i m a honda fan and dont like anyother model.

Use your own brain while selecting a bike,

Well if u buy any of these bikes CD 100, Junoon , Sprinter u will lose around 10000 Right away bcoz of their poor resale and there are not many 2nd hand buyers of these bikes.. so if u want resale chose cd 70 or cg 125..

It is amazing to hear that a CD 100 would need so much engine spares replacement so soon.

My Hero Honda Splendour has done 1,06,800 kms and never a mechenic dare to touch the engine covers except to change the chain sprockets or the Carb.

Is that a quality issue or something else ?

Thanks for taking the time to post your message, thats what i have been looking forward to. a CD 100 user.

I would very much appreciate if you could tell me how much KM you have done on this bike, does its headlight works allright and last who is your mechanic. I am getting mine repaired from Honda Super Star New Mozang Road. and if its possible to meet i would like to check your bike and you to check mine and see if we can find any difference. Since you are also from lahore i think that wont be hard to manage. By the way i live inside Bhati Gate and my office is in Garden Town

whats interesting is Honda makes their bikes in different factories and they use different parts... i mean a bike made in Lahore will have panther tires and Speedo meter made by different company the head will be made by AHL 3 2 1 or 4 these are factories i guess and the bike made in shekupura i guess they have a factory there it will have Service tyres and Speedo meter made by alsons and difference in the engine color u can notice this only if u look closely... i started noticing this when my new bike's speedo meter had lil cracks in them and i found that all the meter made by this vdo or some thing company had these cracks and all other meter put in by honda in cd 70 made by alsons they are fine........

it is not unlikely thing in pakistan, all of our manufacturers do not care about quality of their product. u can see the problems in even cars also. All they are interested in is to sale their things no matter what is quality and who cares about it.

    AOA Every body

Adail Every is trying to misguide about the Honda CD 100. It is very Best bike I have ever drive. It is ur luck/chance that you have to repair ur bike so many times.
Me to have CD100 about 6000+ KM till now and I have no problem.

    Let me Explain something.
IF you are going on Mall, Jail, FerozPur Road on a very ver heavy rain and you have a CD 70 OR CG 125, Suzuki Sprienter, Yamaha or any other bike Except the bike which lies that the category of Heavy Bikes; You can't drive in speed of 80+ and so many chance to slip.
And I drive CD 100 on 80+ in Heavy rain on Murree Road Rawalpindi to AabPara Islamabad through Islamabad Hi way. You can't believe how much this bike has road grip and safty.

As for as feul consumption is concern my bike is giving me 50-55 in 1 Leter. My method of petroling is every time 500(Rs.350 Super & Rs150 Hi Octain).

The Method of measuring Milage is. Go to a stright road and Trun off ur Engine. & Note the Meter Reading and again Start the bike and Close the Petrol and start driving but on a consisten speed and not more then 40km/hr and drive untill thr bike does not stop. When bike stops and note the meter reading it must be 0.9(1 point less then 1 KM). If it is the ur bike will give you 50-55 km per liter. It is guarntee.

I strongly recommend you to not sale your bike. but keep on moving Inshallah you will not find any more trouble.

Mechanic is also a very strong factor for good bike. Contact with a senior Mechanic.

    Good Luck
