Default My hayabusa crash (Road Rash/Bike damage pix)

Its been exactly one week since i had my accident.Luckily the damage to the bike is only about $2000 but my hospital bills are around $6000.The wounds still hurt.I just wish i was wearing my jacket and gloves when i crashed.Im buying the parts on ebay now so hopefully she will be fixed up within a couple of weeks. My scars will be there for much longer i guess. For those who dont wear helmets let me tell you i would be dead if i wasnt wearing mine.

    @umairhashmi

I am scared to see your wounds Bro! I am happy that your face has not been wounded and you are still alive. Bike is not good for all people. Recklessly driver can hit you at the back even if you are driving slow.

I hope your injured will recover as soon. Inshallah!

    Be drive safe!

Sorry to read about your accident, Umair!

Hope the drugs are taking care of the pain.

Did they scrub the asphalt grit out of your wounds in the ER?

That had to be more painful then the actual accident. At least for me.

Road rash will heal and glad you had the Shoei on.

Don't get discouraged or afraid. Just ride smarter

I was screaming and shouting in the ER quite a bit. From what i heard they gave me a shot of morphine before they scrubbed the wounds.I really didnt feel any pain after the morphine shot. Before that it felt like my skin was on fire.

    What's going on with PWers?
I am just glad that u r alive, sure the helmet also did its work, but had u been fallen in a way when your whole torso had exerted on your head with a typical angle, it could have been close.
I say its Allah's blessings and the prayers of your loved ones, that u r back on track.
Please be more cautious next time.
    Allah hafiz.

HOLY SH*T! Just look at that helmet. Good thing its a LAW in U.S that you have to wear a helmet. Was your accident on a major highway? Looks like you were traveling pretty fast...Those wounds are killer.

    drblak
Id guess i was going at around 100 mph (thats around 160 kilometers per hour).Could be slightly more or less.Thats my guess because thats what my typical friday night rides are usually like.Luckily i was riding with my friends and they called 911 right away and got an ambulance there within minutes.
