I used to own a honda cbr600rr but now i have a honda cbr954rr. The major difference i felt was the power. Although the 600 is very fast but 1000 is more powerful and it has the same weight as of 600. The front lifts out after 8000 RPM without pulling the clutch on the bike.

    CBR 600=345 pounds.
    CBR 1000= 388 pounds.

@Titanic, If its your First bike then a 250cc, 4 cylinder will be enough, why a 600cc or a 1000cc ? Those bikes are killers, can kill in a split second.

Foosa, the frame is usually the same(weight, slighty different). The technology factor is far better in 1000cc because they make machine which are light weight and have more power.

thanx for clearing that out...one of my frend once said that the difference is of the frame, that the frame of 1000 is lighter than 600 hence the weight balancing..anyways both are really fast machines
