    if its not the fan could be the head gasket to. or many other things going bad in the engine from a siezed piston to worn out crank pushrod bush bearings

    it also depends upon the cooling system of the engine...is it liquid cooled of oil cooled...many ppl dont understand that in oil cooled bikes you should never use distil water...but they say...YAAR RADIATOR HAY...KOI MASLA NAHI ...if the oil cooled radiator runs on distill water for a long period of time it can hamper the cooling of engine...this theory isnt much appriciated but i know a couple of ppl who had their 400ccs ruined by it...insane power mentioned another reason that perhaps the piston is out of its shape...and last..the exhaust ... get it checked also as it may not be throwing the air and the air gets back to the engine...but its highly unlikely...get it checked by a good mechanic and also tell us what was really wrong with it...thanx

    @Foosa

    I might be wrong but as per my info in oil cooled systems oil is always fed from Sump to Oil cooler & cooled oil is fed to head so it shudnt be possible to fill water instead of oil. In these engines the oil working as a coolant is same which is used for engine lubrication no extra or diffent oil is used for cooling system.

    Which model of CBR 250 u r talking about is it Aero Or RR?

    ur right...but thanx to are genious mechanics and persons who have broken their radiators...they put water radiators...perhaps i might take a pic of one...and show you...it really hurts the engine in a real bad way

    If u just look at the structure of water cooled Radiator & Oil cooler they both work in same pricipal but the vessels for liquid flow which are fabricated in Cylinder/Head are totaly diffrent in water cooled engines & they even dont present in oil cooled engines so if some stupid has replace the oil cooler wid water radiotor & put some water in it then its means mixing of water wid engine oil & in this scenario heating of engine is far away but even it shudnt start.
