why on earth would you want to modify such an OLD bike, get a new bike, then modify it.

that cd175 gives me the creeps, man.

hey abt the modification u can do it as u like .. u can do some modification in the engine .. like a bigger range piston ... or change it with a cd 200 head, cylinder, piston and a weight rod ... other then that some electrical work can make bike go lite .. i means smooth and quick in pick up .. its up to u ... even if u get a cd 200 carboratour in ur pic and make a free flow cylencer it would perform .. good .. some other work culd also be done ... its up to ur wish and the money u spend ................... but in my opinion .. just drive some other cd 175 and see where is ur bike lacking from the other ones ..... CD 175 is for pleasure and smotth riding in my opinion not for speed ....

yaar change the plugs...since you are in karachi get a good exhaust system as well as it increases the performance...other than that i heard there is this thing called MINI TURBO found in karachi dont know if its real or not but if the stories are true than get one of that...what it does is that somewhere in the fuel lines it saves up droplet of petrols and then at higher RPMS punches it all at once giving a lil boost...but im not sure about this coz i've never seen one of these things...well thats enuff from me coz i dont have much experience with hondas

if you are reallty serious about it, then you could do some work on your bike to look different.
Widen the rear suspension to allow a wider tire fit in, you would also need to widen the fender and cut it half. Enhance front clearance by adding chopper style forks and as you did that, try to find a pair that would fit a wider tire. The gas tank would look hidious with this modification so you would need to replace it with a bigger one say Honda 400 etc and finish it up with a combination of paint and chrome / trims. the same you may wanna do to the side covers / tappey. You would also need to redesign your seat....
Actually it wont work until you make a drawing and plan the modification. For Exhaust pipes, there are so many ideal you may want to steal some ideas from American Chopper Show on TV
And hey replace the headlight with the one from a classic bike (round one) say Triumph 500 Twin or Matchless and dont forget to put a chromed eye lash on it
    best of luck
    Matchles G3L 1941, Triumph TRW 1951, Matchless G3LS 1952, Triumph T 100S 1968, Matchless G2 1958, BSA B-31 1952.......... I am insane!

    @ badboykool
change the sprokets, get the old piston out, get the chamber bored and put a new bigger piston like say of honda 250 of police bikes. add disk brake to the front. if u wannt to install a new wider tire, u';ll hav to widen the length of the rear swing-arm and suspension to fit it. make the front forks more declined in angle like 5-10 degreess more to giv it a classic hog look. add a new exhaust pipe. it can easily be made from any heavy bikes mechenic shop. they can custom made it for u. Since it has 2 cylinders so it will be a simple but custom made 2-into-2 or U can have 2-into-1 Xhaust to ur specifications like give it a slashed tail look like kawasaki eliminator series or u can have long tail pipes like harley fatboy 1200. redesign the fuel tank as the present one is too lame. have some good fabricator design it 4 u..believe me everything is done in Pakistan and mechenics here r very well talented and know their work. u'll have to invest a hefty amount of time in modifying ur bike.

im posting a few pics 4 u sodat u can get the idea of modifications xteriorly.
