    7thgear,
    Excellent ride!!

This is a rare 250 and if I am not mistaken the redline is close to 19, 000 RPM.

If you install a performance exhaust this engine will sound like a Formula One race car.

    Howe rare is your FZR?

I have lived in the US for 17 years and have been riding for 14 years. I have never seen one ridden anywhere.

    Congratulations and ride safe!

Thanks a lot buddies. FZRs were Yamaha's best selling bikes till mid 90s when the even more famous YZF replaced them. YZFs substituted the FZRs. FZR250s are in good number in Pakistan but because FZRs are old model it is very difficult to find them in good condition. I have also kept a 93 model in the past but I like this one better.
This bike took me two minutes and twenty years to purchase. Twenty years because I loved bikes since childhood and two minutes that took me to look at the bike and make the decision of buying it. I wanted a registered bike in good condition, hence this FZR.

    @ foosa
The bike is a smooth machine, nice sound goes great near to the red line without hickups. First gear can take you upto 70kph (under red line) and yes it's registered I don't want to ride a bike like I had it stolen, lolz.

    @ rkhsnh
Maybe if I get a lover of bikes.

    @ Jahanzeb
The engine makes a ferari like sound above 8k rpm, the bike has got its original exhaust and I don't want to replace it because then I will lose the EXUP valve, which I don't want to. It's in stock condition except for front indicators.

Yes, the red line starts at 18.5k to the maximum of 20k. 250s come with the highest range of red-line in bikes that are street legal.

    7thgear.
I read in a magazine once where they bored a stock 250 to 325cc, installed a heavier crankshaft and raised the redline to 22, 000!

I raced a stock 400cc FZR with just an exhaust and carburetor needles adjusted and it was one of the loudest bikes I had ridden. I can't imagine a 250

By the way, here are some pics of my FZR, back in '93.

A week old and I am testing the foot-peg feelers

One last ride before the new owner enjoys it.

No clutch needed, just throttle only
