    Default Answers needed??

    The 2nd day of Eid I have noticed a very horrifying fact when I was racing my sprinter with my friend's CD 70 there was atleast 10 km/h difference in the speedometer while my meter was showing 40 km his was 30km/h which means my speedometer was 10km/h ahead already...is this is the case with others or I m the only one?

    Check this: I was in vitz and my friend was in a santro. We were both on the motorway at the same speed. My speedometer showed 125km/h while the santro was showing 140km/h.

    I have heard from some people that pakistani vehicles (cars as well as bikes) are a bit off when it comes to speeds!

    these companies buy stock speedo meters in whole-sale packages, ... and install them without caring about the differences of the tyres diameters. a difference of 1" in ur diameter might give different results on the same speedometer. may be thats an issue. also messed up speedo-meteres can show whatever they want to

    I have seen lotsa people claiming 100-120kph on their CD 70,CD 100.While they might be seeing those speeds on meter,they are not true.Error is close to 25-30kph in that case.

    So that means that the max speed that sprinter can achieve is actually 100 km/h while showing it 115 km/h all you sprinters agree with me?

    In cars most of the speedo meter erros are due to Tyre size mismatch. But in bikes most of the errors are due to fualty meters as in bikes u have very limited choice for tyre size & specialy the front tyre which drives the speedo meter remains stock in more then 95% cases.

    @foOsa
    yar my bikes running is over now i have driven it 1340 km no i m taking it to its limits once i used to take it to 80 km/h in 2nd and 100 in 3rd but since last two days when i push it too hard a strange whistle type noise comes and it seems it is coming above the engine and beneath the fuel tank side i haven't had the time to show it to mechanic what you suggest what might be wrong?

    u say whistle yes ?...get the air pump checked and use the free service card provided to you by the suzuki...tell them very clearly about it...it shouldnt be more than a faulty air pump/filter...but i cant tell for sure unless i see the bike coz alot of whistles come out of my bike as well...like when i go to 4th gear from 5th it gives a lil....CHEEEEEEOOOOOOWWWWWW....and the rest are due to the bad maintenence i keep ...but in ur case i'd say get it checked by the suzuki mechanics

    i cant be certain about the fact that there is a problem with the engine unless u record the noise and send it to me ...and like i said get it checked by the suzuki mechanics..and if the bike is in warranty ( which it should be) ask for a replacement

    best machines to check your actual speed with is an imported motorbike, as throughout the world it seems that bikes have the most accurate meters for some reason.

    i'll never trust a pakistani cars meter as they car will be sub standard and the tyres will be the wrong size.
