Default HELP! ZXR 750 or CBR 900???

Gentleman , your invaluable advice is once again sought, I have the option of buying a 1991 ZXR 750 (100 bhp) and a 1995 CBR 900 (124 bhp), obviously the CBR is more expensive but newer.

Regarding the following points please advice what would be a better purchase:
    - Reliability (engine, electrics etc etc)
    - Availibility of parts and service, i.e if piston rings or a camshaft is required later on.
    - which one would be more fun to ride and easier to handle.
    - This would be my first 100 bhp + bike , hence this point needs to be considered aswell.
    - What to check for when buying a 10 year + old bike

Your input would be highly appreciated!

@ fossa, your advice has been gr8, thought I might ask the others aswell!!

Thanks everyone, makes things pretty clear for me , just one thing , @ 7th gear, whats wrong with a unregistered bike? if the duty has been paid and its legit ? any particular issue such a situation may create?

@ Limosina nice bike bro, I might get in touch with you in Islamabad!

@ foosa, Kawasaki ppl should pay you for the publicity you give them!!

^ No problem with the paying of duties. I only wanted to suggest that the bike should be legal. It won't be a bad idea at all to buy a non paid and then get it registered to your name.
    Best of luck.

I wish I had 3 lac for one of my dream bikes. Someday!!

DashingDon, the bikes which you are selling are custom paid or non CP, if they are custom paid bikes what are the makes and model.

    Xtrapreneur:
bought the bike last year and the guy had a very ugly meter installed (guess original got damaged...dont know the original story). so i removed it as it looked better without the one that was installed.

    Xtrapreneur,
I have owned one, raced two and ridden 3 generation's of Honda's CBR model and can only add to what most people are saying.

    The Honda is bomb-proof!

If that is not enough, I read an article in Sport Rider magazine where a rider rode his CBR 900 RR for over 100, 000 miles, with the only maintenance being oil and filter changes, etc.

The Kawasaki ZXR-750 is an awesome machine but for reliability and rideability, my pick would be the CBR.

Btw, here are pics of my '99 900 RR with a friend's ZX-7.

    Good luck!

@ jehanzeb, thanks for the feedback, I agree with you on the Honda being trouble free, but that ZX7R sure looks slick!

I think I will be going for a cbr 900, thanks to everyone for thier input and views, cheers!

mr. dashingdon, in cities like Islamabad & Lahore a non custom bike gets picked by the customs very easily. you lose your bike and have an FIR registered against you for the possession of an illegal bike. you end up losing the bike and getting urself in trouble. i have seen this happen to my close buddies.

    limosina,
    Very tastefully done!

I prefer the matte or dull black paint over a polished or chrome frame. Plus the striping job on your bike looks factory fresh!

    Good luck!
