    Default Lets talk fuel average..

    I see that lots of questions keep floating across this forum regarding the fuel average. Lets share it all here.

    Which bike are you riding currently, what model is it and what is the best possible average that it has given you recently? Also tell, whether you got your bike tuned, and for how many times since the purchase?

    Please be sincere, no one's gonna come and check your bike's average.

    My CG125 is a 03 model. Honestly, I have never got it tuned ever since the purchase, only minor service, even the plug hasn't been replaced and I am getting about 50+ average from it still. I wonder if anyone can beat this.

    my cg 150 (which it is ) gives me an average of 20-25 which is due to the xperimental turbo installed and its working beautifully...i tune it myself..but when it need real cleaning...i take it to my trustee mechanic who shares the same passion as me about bikes...a few days ago he was saying that he will try to put a 750cc gear box in a 250cc ...

    That 15km/liter for a 750 is superb. Was it an EFI or carbie?

    @7thgear

    My GSX is Carbie & the average value is derived from two consective full fuel tanks during my recent trip to Rohtass Fort from Lahore
    BTW it was my first high way trip on that bike & the purpose was to evaluate the bike performance on long tour. The overall response was good so i think some more optimisation in fuel system, air intake, & ignition systems can improve milage on high way.
    As a target my considerations are to achieve ~18Kmpl so lets see how much i can manage to get from it on my next trip.

    As far as cars are concern i have achived following values,

    Suzuki Mehran ~17Kmpl Econo on high way
    Cultus VXR 1000 Carbie 13~14 Econo in city wid AC
    Alto VXR 1000 carbie 11~12 Econo in city wid AC
    Fiat Uno 1.7D 13 Econo in city
    Fiat Uno 1.7D 12 Econo in city wid AC
    Fiat Uno 1.7D 19 Econo on Highways
    Fiat Uno 1.7D 17 Econo on Highways wid AC

    @imranbhatti

    Your GSX is a 12 valve or 16 valve? The most I have got from my 250 FZR is 18km/liter, however I feel that a maximum of 20km/liter is very much possible on a long smooth ride, enough for a sport bike I think. Still, 15km/lit. for an old 750 amazes me. Nice!

    1-My Hinda Cd 70 2005 gives 66~68 Km/l, i get it tunned after every 2000 Km and i use caltex havoline.

    2-My dad's Cd 70 1995 gives around 65 Km/l, n it is also being tunned after every 2000 Km.

    3- Yahama Royal 100 1999 gives 43~45 Km/l.

    We don't drive fast we usually drive around 40~50 Km/h's speed.
    Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?
