Hey guys, I was just a few yards away from the bomb-site when the blast occured. The magnitude of the blast was such that it completely jolted and rocked my car. At first I thought it was the tree that had fallen down somehow while one of the occupants of my car thought it was the bus which had hit us from behind. It took a few minutes for us to regain complete control over our nerves and only after we were urshered forward by the kind traffic sargeant (who still had his nerves), did we realize that it was a bomb explosion. With limbs and arms scattered everywhere around the bomb site, it was horrible evidence of death passing by. This was indeed the closest encounter I've had with death where it has claimed so many lives.
Come to think of it, I pass the same gate normally four or five times a day. today wasnt any different. If it hadnt been for few cars ahead of me and the red traffic signal, I may well have been near the gate itself when the blast occured. Alhamdullilah, no physical injury resulted to either me or to the other occupants in my car but we were strongly jolted.
May allah bless the souls of the departed and may allah also save our country... the events indeed are tragic and most depressing...
