To my understanding, Japan is the most blessed place on earth to buy bikes.
My European friends here have the same comment. They all buy R1 and GSX-R and even BMW after an attractive price tag.
FYI, some of the Japanese brand bikes have two versions sold in the market.
There is a "genuine" dometic model and a "reverse imported" model.
For example, CBR600 Fireblade is this case. Genuine domestic model is regulated to 69ps, whereas reverse imported blasts something like 120ps.
Genuine domestic is cheaper, but reverse imported dominates the market.
Another tip, my Ducati is cheaper to buy here than in the UK.
