    Default Exotic Bikes in Pakistan?

    Exotic Bikes in Pakistan? -539259

    Hi,

After 20 years of absence from my homeland, I must admit that I was quite amazed to see the Pakistanis' buying power has exploded exponentially.

Saw BMWs, Mercedes, Landrover, and some other nice cars on a daily basis.

Even passed in front of an Islmabad estate with 3 x Porches in the driveway.

Wonder how the market looks on exotic bikes. You know, bikes like over 1liter...GSX-R, R1, CBR etc...are these rich boys' toys?

I imagine the tariff is not cheap.

I currently enjoy a Ducati Multistrada....1098s is on the way too.

Live in Tokyo, by the way.

hahahha...what i have is a mixture of japanese technology..and chinese copy of a zzr...with a lil modification of my own makes it a tri nation bike ...its good to hear about the lisence procedure over there in japan coz here...u just have to bribe the policeman at the front desk and your lisence will be ready within 2 days...as for roads...sadly there isnt a bike scene here...however a few brave pakwheel bikers have arrange some bike trips to some historical places...you can find them in the LBC (lahore bikers club ) section found in the Bike category...unfortunately i couldnt join them due to job obligations and distance ...it will be good to see ur ducati here...but i warn you that the custom rules and regulations here might overwhelm you...and you might have to pay double for what the orignal bike costs...

apart from this ...i've heard that the japanese brands bikes like kawasaki yamaha etc are expensive in japan as compared to other countries...sounds odd to me but is it true ?

To my understanding, Japan is the most blessed place on earth to buy bikes.

My European friends here have the same comment. They all buy R1 and GSX-R and even BMW after an attractive price tag.

FYI, some of the Japanese brand bikes have two versions sold in the market.

There is a "genuine" dometic model and a "reverse imported" model.

For example, CBR600 Fireblade is this case. Genuine domestic model is regulated to 69ps, whereas reverse imported blasts something like 120ps.

Genuine domestic is cheaper, but reverse imported dominates the market.

Another tip, my Ducati is cheaper to buy here than in the UK.

    Agusta??

    In Pakistan??

You don't see too many of them here in Tokyo either.

Checked out the link you've pasted. There are some hot bikes in Lahore.

Seems like Lahore is the epicenter of hot wheels...Porsche just opened the first Pakistani dealership there, isn't it?

    Foosa, bab210,
Yes it seemed incredible to see an Agusta back home, expecially for me as I have not been to the homeland in 17 years!
Anyways, glad there are enthusiasts in Pakistan who are rich but more importantly, they know how to use their riches
