There is just no competition between these two bikes. CG125 is now an old production bike and has been on the roads here for many years. The bike has good balance, good engine and fuel economy, reliability, good engine sound whereas the CD100 is the worst production ever by Atlas Honda. Thats what I think of it.

What i think is CG125 is the best bike produced by Atlas Honda, while about CD100 its the worst, in shape, in engine in road grip.

Though it’s a matter of choice but My conclusion is that 125 is for those who need fast pick, speed and of course power.
100 maybe a dull looking bike but a real pleasure to drive on long routes. However you will have to sacrifice power and pick in return you will get better comfort. Let me make the things clear, user manual of CD 100 says max speed of 85 KMPH, if you want to go above that u will have to drag it to the limit. While 125 climbs the 100 mark pretty fast. If you say that difference of 20 KMPH doesn’t make any difference! Let me say on road it really counts. I have CD 100 for two years. No complaints now I choose to get economy (compared to 125) and it gives me a nice comfortable ride with economy

I do hereby declare that I have experience of both models I didn’t hold any fact purposely it’s a general review, some exceptions in both models may be found that are not with all the models.

after adil bhai's comments nothing can be said. wasay I have just buyed cd-100...

2500KM on it now ...its giving me 65-68 on highways i go on 90-100 KM/h.

it's safe comfortable heavy high bike honda changed it and unfortunatly no one is considered so for on pakwheels...

it's realy changed a lot...very smooth engine...adil bhai u must ride the new one...u will feel more comfort in it.
my bike is more gripy and heavy then even 125.

last comment HONDA WORKED HARD ON CD-100 AND TAKEN IT AS A CHALLENGE. JUST RIDE SEE AND YOU WILL FEEL THE DIFFERENCE....

I don't think that if a bike is heavy, you should consider it to be a quality. A lighter bike means more power, more economy, more speed, easier control especially in traffic. Who likes a heavy bike when it's a CD100?

    New bike Man

two days before i was attending a marriage and i met a person there who owns a 5S Honda Dealership in Sargodha, i asked him about new model of CD 100, he confessed the issues with old model were really too much, but he claimed that honda has improved CD 100 a lot and there has been no complaint from CD comfort since its launched (not a single complaint), he was a reliable person i have no reason to doubt what he said.

    7th gear

brother its about your preference, when i owned Honda 70, 2000 model i used to travel from Lahore to Gujranwala frequently (its a 66 KM travel on GT Road, and
after each tour i had to get the rims of my bike balanced, thats why i choose a little strong bike, u r very much true about its engine and weight proportion, but to me safety and comfort was more important.

Comparing it to its rival junoon & sprinter, you know sprinter was launched before CD 100, its first model had the problem of rear tyre hitting the mudguard on bumpy road even with a single rider, and the problem still persists. no change in that, and another issue of hard seat still remains unsolved. I know you have a lot of knowledge of bikes, if you are given the task to eradicate these two issues i dont think you will take more than a week to come up with the solution.

Though i dont advocate honda all the time but reality is that atlas honda is more efficient in coming up with new things and with a bigger network. I had been restoring a sprinter recently and Allah Almighty knows how did i manage to collect its spare parts.

    my preference still honda

    New bike man

brother i went to lahore on bike two weeks ago, its chain needed to be replaced and i left it with my cousin for the change. I haven been able to go and get my bike back. I will post you pics when my bike is back, you can see all he did was switched a couple of wires and change of beams and the light is good enough now.

I will Inhsallah send you pics of all things, just need sometime. Meanwhile you can search for a used headlight beam of some heavy bike. You will have to go to secondhand parts market in pindi. I dont know where its located in pindi, In lahore its Bilal Ganj. The beam i got was prefectly the same size as old one, cost me 600 Rs and its bulb holder uses the bulb used in Honda 125 & 70. You can install a halogen lamp in it. i have also got one. You will be amazed at the results.
