No offence but making bike parts is not a rocket science and labour in India is cheaper than China. So I'm not sure why they would buy parts from China. If you have some source please share with us

Honda's India bike (Dream Yuga) looks like it is closer to a Pridor than a CD Dream based on the engine size. And cost is about the same if you do the exchange rate.

But Honda India bikes are "new" (Honda India just entered a joint venture with a new company 1-2 years ago). So reliability MIGHT not be as good as our 30-year old design.

And the Honda India bikes look much better (better design), but much of that has a lot to do with the alloy wheels and city tyres (both of which are less reliable and durable). I prefer the spoke wheels and practical tyres with grip.

those who are in their 30s and 40s miss two stroke bikes in India like Yamaha RX100,Suzuki Shogun,Supra,Kawasaki-Bajaj RTZ100, YEZDI/JAWAs,Yamaha RD350(350cc twin cylinder two stroke with 27bhp when in detuned condition!).

Rajdoot-Yamaha RD350 (also called Yamdoot meaning death messenger!). simply no comparison with any bikes of that time be it Kawasaki RTZ/GTO 100/125 or Yamaha RX100/125 .. baap of these bikes!

HondaIndia(HMSI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Honda Motor and there is no 'joint venture' with anybody. Below is a list fo 2 wheelers made/sold in India by Honda and link to more of the same

Honda actually left the JV with Hero Moto Corp two years ago and is now operating alone.BTW how alloy wheels are less reliable and durable than spoke wheels and what are city tyres?

Market size and demand dictates how multinational auto makers will invest in a country, Indian population and demand is almost 5 times bigger. Companies can recoup investment by introducing new and bigger models far quicker in India than Pakistan market. Indian economy is doing better in last 15 years and its opposite and reverse in Pakistan, just as indicator 15 odd years ago it was roughly 1 PkR = 1.25 INR and now 1 INR= 1.90 PKR tables are turned big time because of idiots on our side.
Companies cant introduce expensive bike or cars for few exclusive buyers in Pakistan and will cut corners on existing age old models with no real competition or regulatory controls in place.

So chill until economy perform s better to create more middle class with greater buying power.

Honda. Yamaha. Suzuki. & Others, are just selling crap in Pakistan and making them big time fool. In Pakistan, we dont have any official auto policy. These car / bike manufacturing companies pay 'kick-backs' to politicians and keep any policies (customs, etc.) in their own favors...........What a pity

@indian07 ! That 90+km is per liter mileage? Does it really do 90+ or is just advertised as such?

dear aboboilly, i am having this bike and i got 84km/L in city drive, which is impressive. 90+ is what company is offering,I think in standard condition it may could be possible. Anyway this is a good, economic and stylish bike with this price range.
