    CG125 has larger front brake drum in 2006 onwards, but CG125 power plus needs larger brake drum in rear wheel as well like in 125 deluxe rear drum is larger, in Super Power SP125 front and rear brake drums are large for good control and grip.

    agree...we normally do not pay any attention to brakes...but the point raised by 2468 is totally valid...the new bike makers need to make changes like brakes and styling if they are to compete with the already established honda yamaha and suzuki...

    the problem is however...that considering the crisis going on in the country...an average person would think twice before buying a bike...he is like...SHOULD I BUY A CHEAP CHINESE ONE...OR SHOULD SPEND MORE TO GET A MORE RELIABLE HONDA or WAT EVER HE LIKES...

    so the new bike makers entering the market should work on lil things to improve on so the buyer should have something to think about before investing his money

    @foosa

    Pls Don't say cheap chinese cause price of Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki goes down only because of these chineese we should appreciate local brands so called chineese.
    tell me what R&D made by Honda Yamaha and Suzuki.................... ... nothing.

    Its Ravi Motorcycles from local manufacturers side who made R&D work and launched new models like R1 70 and Storm 125 its just begning not the end.

    The changes are brought in Storm 125 as u desired below in term of brakes.

    In the end it all comes down to this :

    Pocket mein 50,000 hein Ya Pocket mein 80,000 hein ?

    If this bike has good durable engine then its a very good buy for 55k !

    mahmehmood i understand ur a representitive of ravi motors of some sort but accept the facts... the most advanced production bikes in PAKISTAN and i repeat in PAKISTAN only come from suzuki and you can not deny that...apart from that if you know my previous posts whenever i say CHEAP CHINESE BIKES...i mean CHEAPER in PRICE and NOT QUALITY...and i have xplained that so many times before...

    as for the R&D is concerned...i personally rode the storm 125 and the R170 and to be really honest...it was hard to see the difference...but i will add that ...THEY WERE DIFFERENT...specially the 125.. i hope ur getting what im saying...

    but i still maintain that technologically suzuki are using the latest technology available in pakistan if compared to the others. Also note that this is my opinion only and i am not imposing it on anyone its just what my testing says. Other might have tested the bikes in their own manner...thank you

    @Foosa

    Ok dear thanks for explanation

    I agree that Suzuki introduced only OHC engine in 125 and 150 but nothing else is modern then Storm125.

    As far as the performance is concerned i will say there is no difference but in Storm emission level and fuel efficiency is much better then others.

    u mean this carb.
    Metro MR 125 -929503

    For your info in GS125/150 MIKUNI BS26SS carburator is used and it having the butterfly and diaphram technology it is not suitable for the Pakistani enviornment because diaphram wear out soon due to dust in our enviornment.

    Metro MR 125 -929504

    as well as our mechanics don't like this carburator due to no know how of maintinance and u know suzuki has own set ups netionwide no service dealers in the market and no proper training system has been adopted by the company.

    @mehmood..

    im using a bike with a butter carb for over 4 years now...and its working perfectly...lack of mechanics yes...no doubt...but over the years i have learned with the help of a senior mechanic who doesnt work for suzuki...how to tweek about it...

    as for ur comments about suzuki's mechanic training...i will beg to differ as i have personally seen and met with some suzuki mechanic who have passed their training from japan...let me give you an example

    my elder brother had a suzuki bandit 400...and all of a sudden it developed a problem that it was taking the revs but the bike wasnt moving on road...so we contacted the local suzuki office and asked them for their help and they said we are more than welcomed ..so we took the bike there...and they called for a senior mechanic from the multan head office...he came...and fixed the bike in 20 mins or so...later they told us that suzuki send their senior mechanics to japan for technical studies...thats why suzuki is the only company in pakistan which can import its higher sports or street models here in pakistan...

    so suzuki does have very qualified mechanics..

    Its true that all the munufacturers have degraded their standards but a copy product will remains copy & some inherent flaws will always acompany him.

    As per my experience & observation Honda & Suzuki has degarded quality of consumable & body parts but main parts of engines & fuel system are still have better quality than of other Copy Bikes. However the pure chinese brand like Jialing, Road prince etc also have quite better standard for both body & engine parts.

    As far as new Technologies are concern Suzuki has introduced some modern engines which have been used in SD 110 & Sprinter but these technologies are not that high tech which cant be understood by Local mechanics i know some good Honda Autahorised mechanics who are offering services to Suzuki Bikes as well & customers are satisfied. So actualy its the matter inteligence a routine mechanic cannot provide good services to even routine bikes.
