let me tell u a very important experience we had that day when we tested both rides very keenly... in starting races RAVI was not exceeding by ~105kmh even we redline it on 5' but then one of our friend (who was escorting us on his GS 500) to see what is the speed on his speedo for both 125s... asked us to remove the MUD "KICHER" cover under the Engine of RAVI which is made of plastic Rectangular in shape and sit just beside you front wheel fender attached to engine bolts,
He said that he thinks this Squares peice is creating lots of DRAG and not letting the bike RUN as it should, so we removed it, and then we saw Ravi touching 115kmh.
Please let me tell you here RAVIs own Speedo was showing 130kmh at that time, but friend on GS notified that its only 115 .. meter is chines and showing wrong speed, HONDA'S meter was showing correct speed and it was red lined at 110kmh
I am personally a BIG fan of Honda and a proud Honda owner too, but lets Admit it guys RAVI got some look and yes on long stretches it has top speed too, I don't know how much quality engine has... my Honda is now
3 years old and still it rocks well. but after our through test I am pretty sure a good rider can beat RAVI on shorter races like 1/4 MILE DRAG as we did it twice that day to reconfirm, Honda was quick , but top speed was Ravi.
So its ones own choice what one wants, as we live in crowded Lahore there are no long stretches, so Honda is a best choice as far as I see.. plus it got a realaible spare part network which is a big issue in RAVI.

Thats is what i wana say 2 that deluxe has less expenses coz of strong parts, i m using for 4 years and still no core engine disturbance
i wasnt arguing but some guys here cant give valid reasons for there grudge about a certain product and start criticizing it
this guy ashfaq 87 was first asking me for where to have test ride of ravi /suzuki ,
but now he implicates me as some agent of company and blah blah lolz
anyways lets conclude this both deluxe and storm are good ,
we all have different experience with different bikes so none can be said surely
and yes i agree there is a shortage of parts of ravi and company should do something to increase their service
but that thing can only be build with time and i hope it soon
now that's a reasonable reply.... and yes one should not do personal attacks on open forums/threads and person must be reported...
I like the looks of RAVI, bas spare part market mien ajaye tu RAVI can make fast progress...
In-case of Honda, CG 125 shares a very close ancestry with CBR 125 (which has a genuine top speed of 155 kmH at down hill and 145KMH at straight out), so I am more in favor of Honda.. because ager sirf gearbox change karo to cg125 cbr125 ban jata hai.. which is a sports bike...

nice dig out u made , and yes piaggio has no comparison with cbr 125r because its a sport bike where as piaggio is a simple consumer bike

if u look them closely u will find that cbr has the compression ratio of 11.0:1
where as honda has the compressio ratio of 9.2:1
and piaggio has 10.2:1
this is the key factor to increase the engine horse power by producing more compression in cylinder
thats why cbr is 13.00bhp , and piaggio and cg are nearly 11.0 bhps
plus it has fairings for aerodyanmics and a light weight frame plus 6 speed gear box ,EFI system
so its not the only gear box bro, its the complete change of architecture which makes a simple bike into a sports bike

and no link on Wikipedia too... so I am not very sure about this bike...
plus while searching I found this one quite imprssive too, plus their is a yamaha rival 125 as well ...

Seriously dudes ... both bikes are of same class/category i.e. 125 attached to a rigid fact they are in pakistan (which means k techonolgical bikes ka to sawal he paida nahin hota) ... so why even bother to start a discussion which is better and which is not.
Even bike out there has its advantages.
CG-125 has its own. Its a 4 Speed Gear Box bike which means Longer Gear Ratios to stretch the speeds of 120 km/h over every gear. Lacks the comfort, true ... because of rear rigid shock-absorbers but on a bright side, those very same shock-absorbers help the bike maintain its balance around corners. Rely TOTALLY over front shock-absorbers. Its Much harder to control the biker over top speeds of 120km/h ... 1 second aap ne concentration loose ki, and aap ka ALLAH malik.
Ravi Piaggio/Deluxe ... made for comfort & style, with 5 speed Gear Box. Has shorter gear ratios for first 3 gears and long gear ratios for the rest (4th & 5th). Much comfortable than CG-125, but engine remains the same category. Only the 5 speed gear box give it a little edge over CG-125. Both bikes have expensive spare parts. Heck even a tyre alone may cost 3k.
Fact remains that Honda is still most loveable bike in Pakistan because of the sound it produces. CG-125 is loveable because of sound + cheaper spare parts (it may be hard to swallow but most mechanics recommend you this bike for the very same reason. Top speed or not, is another issue)
Mark my words, i've tried ALL THREE bikes. I love ALL THREE. NONE of the bike could go beyond 100 & 110km/h on Stock settings. But they did go beyond 110 till 120 after a tunning from my mechanic. Who only settled Bike's Tappets & Carburettor.
Piaggio & Deluxe both are very comfortable bike and i dislike Deluxe because of its Price/Performance factor. Like Ravi because of its Low Price Tag comparative to Deluxe. CG-125 is for sound & classic style lovers only.
5 speed Gear box is superior to a 4 speed gear box in LONG RUN ... period
Now starting a useless deabate over it wont take someone to mars.
@umer!! About time you stop taking sides brother. I've seen maximum comments from you in which you DRASTICALLY disliked CG-125 and all the love remained for Piaggio. Infact, you were the one who said k Deluxe 90km/hr se uper nai jata, which is a false statement. True for a brand new bike, because the tappets settings + fuel mixture is just not right for the bike to make it go beyond 100km/h.
Another thing ... Suzuki GS150 is COMPLETELY out of the equation. Seriously ... how can one even think about comparing a 125cc engine with 150cc engine. The other bad offering like Drum Brakes and el-cheapo looks aside.
Agree, both are from same class.
Now I own both, and love the comfort of Paiggo...
But still man Honda ki pik achi hai (talking about old model 4 gear) and I guess it is because it is relatively light weight then Deluxe and Ravi that's why it accelerate so well. Today is my first day with Storm/CG comparison and we spent all day on ROADS ..
Secondly @abobobilly there are manufacturers whos stock 125 class (4 strokers) which go beyond 130 - 140 even HONDA has a CBR - 125 see my previuos post in this thread, Yamaha has R15 [India] and many other just google and get amazed, so we just cant say that both bikes are from same class and their is no need of comparison wrong totally wrong... Actually WHEN BIKES ARE FROM SAME CLASS THEN WE ACTUALLY NEED A COMPARISON TO FIGURE OUT WHICH IS THE BEST... as far as I see in Honda and RAVI both have their pros and CONS and this THREAD IS VERY USEFUL FOR ANY new comer who wana buy a 125 can make one good decision after joining this thread like me

i was reading about mahindra 125, they claimed tht bike can go 240km/hr, i was ashtonishd 2 read tht, everythng s nt jst cc its othr thng 2 like compresion ratio, weight 2 engine ratio etc, wishing sum sports ride ll also envelop us all 2 fulfil our ravishing deeds
CG-125, Ravi Piaggio, Deluxe, they dont differ much as far as the engine is concerned. Just making the engine bore deeper to increase hp and adding 5 speed gear box doesn't make much of a difference. We are still far behind than abroad countries.
And this 'discussion' you guys have been doing lately, this will not help any new comer in any way. Instead it will mess up a sane mind easily. Why? Because all you'll see here some FANS or LOVERS saying this is best & that is best or my GS-150 is best of both worlds.
So the question arises what exactly are we doing here @ PW.

yes man pakistan lag far behind in tech Advancement, and yes GS 150 is ahead above if u say so I dont own it I have no idea...
They dont introduce EFI becuase it will increase the bike cost which will reduce bike sale I guess, becoz PK market is not that hot on bigger bikes u know.
