Umer009: Thank you for the clarification.
Where is the company showroom / Sales point for Ravi Motorcycles in Lahore?
Is that the official company showroom or sales point? The reason I ask is that the idea of paying a third party over the odds doesn't really appeal to me.
Also, I have seen you mention that you have a Ravi Piaggio somewhere in this thread (or the other Piaggio thread). What has your experience been so far with the after sales service?
if honda provide self start and alloy rims in delux in same price then i would defiantly go for it.as it is full time reliable bike but right now not value for money as they are missing self start and alloy rims and some more attractive colours
>>Bike has extreme comfort, road grip, Rider Experience is A+
>>has a good cruise speed as well doesnt trmbles and shakes like CG 125 on higher RPMs.
>> Spare parts can be found from china bike dealer in Mcloed road
Dont expect Ravi autois : No after sale service / spare part back up my friend you bought it youre on your own now :-D lolxx , or you will have to go to china Lifan / jailing spare part as a work around. which are also the same.
I haven't bought a bike yet, thankfully. I'm still not sure which one I should go for. But the Ravi Piaggio is now starting to look less and less as an option.
yes spare part mostly related to engine mil jaen *** almost from every china engine dealer,
but body parts like ferreing, plastic decals, side decals, plastic mudgaurd specailly the rear end light ye atleast mujhe tu nhi mili miene pindi or lahore dono mien pata kerwa liya hy becoz one of my friends ride is damaged in accident...

Agreed engine is no problem, Even energy inductor, a small machine introduced in euro II type which conects head and Carburator are same in both honda and Ravi..
but yar meri side panel damage ho gaya hai, and I am in contact with a dealer in Mcloaed Road, lahore hotel, let see kab milta hai..
Looking at the above posts, my first question is this: Doesn't Ravi have an authorized service center? Surely they would have the parts required. Isn't that the same place you go to claim warranty? Surely you don't have to go to the factory if you need to claim warranty?
yes I am talking about the same service center whose address I mentioned bike I bought is 8 months old and has been serviced by them under warranty too... but after I droped it and damaged the Tapa (side panel) then I went to then and inquired them for it, I am in the waiting list for like , now its been 3rd week going..
but yes I do admire the product. STORM
for piaggio body parts contact rizwan sahab ,he is company employee and provide spare parts to dealrs, here is his number 03018438672
I went out today and had a look at both bikes.
I believe that the authorized dealer for the Piaggio that you were referring to was Al-Furqan traders on Mcleod road. He had the bike in all four colours and was asking 80,000 for it. However, he only had four bikes (one in each colour) and they all looked a little roughed up. Not necessarily because he was trying to pass off used bikes as new, but because of product placement.
One bike had been sitting on the main road (literally), another one was on the foot path and two were inside the shop. The bike looks great but those four bikes didn't leave me with the impression that they were hot out the oven. Maybe they just needed a wipe down. Dunno. I think he should have kept all bikes inside the shop and been careful with using them as display pieces.
I also queried him about their service centers and he said that a complete list of locations is provided. He mentioned that one of them was just up the road.
I also saw the Honda 125 Deluxe and the Honda CD(i?) 100. Both looked really great. I was actually surprised because I had written off Honda from the get go. The bikes actually looked to be built of superior quality material. That is just how I felt. I am not a motorbike expert.
Seriously, if you guys had 108,000, and you wanted to make one long term purchase, what bike would you go for?
I personally own both of em CG 125 (Non deluxe) and Storm, I am using storm in my office << home daily commuting every day and its roughly used by previuos owner, but she is doing in my hand. (Let see what she gona do in a long RUN)
and Honda yes now its been 3 year and no engine work required by her still roll to 100 km fast enough to give me a smile .. yes paint has gone dull by rough use by elder bro.. lolzz
by adding some more amount in 1 lakh
and one more thing , built quality cannot be judged by just spectating a product,
its something which can only be judged in the long run,
Honda is building the frame locally here and same thing is done by piaggio,
but if some 1 has the earlier model of piaggio, its frame was chinese made and quality was 1000 times better than the local made, welding of joints plus paint job was superior than any of the other local made bikes
but ravi has now also started to make local frames to reduce cost
people here often criticize chinese quality , but believe me they have edge on most of the departments ,like chrome quality and finishing ,its my personal experience
