I have purchased a 2011 Honda CG125 Deluxe after a sh*t ton of 'careful' consideration.

Thanks to all for your input. Cheers!

    @Mirr:
congratulation for owning new Honda CG125 Delux. I am very much interested in two things from you:
    - Maximum speed you achieved
    - fuel consumption per litre

Definitely, you will have to complete the running period for these tests.

secondly i want to know if someone can tell if these issues in Ravi Piago are fixed or still exists:

    - Chain Cover
    - Fuel Guage

    Question

I also want to know the TOP Speed on Fifth gear when the Engine is redline at 10,000RPM

it should be above or atleast around 120KMH because 105/110 tu sadi CG125 ker leti hai...

if u are from Lahore choose RING ROAD for the speed test Its one long empty road .. suitable even for new riders

Thank you all. I will upload some pictures later.

As for the whole top speed thing and so on, I won't be able to do that. I'm literally teaching myself how to drive the damn thing at the moment. This is my first motorcycle, and I have only ridden a motorcycle once or twice before.

I am happy to just cruise around at speeds of 30km/h. I'm not comfortable with anything higher than that. Hell, I don't even drive my car over 60/70 and I've been driving for a solid 20 years. People in Lahore drive like morons, frankly. Not only do you have to drive your own car, you have to constantly be looking all around you and do other people's driving for them too.

    @Mirr! Mubarik Ho bother
I am not really surprised at your decision, because i Knew this would happen eventually lol ... As i've already been to this scenario a couple of times.
    Anyway ... Enjoy your ride.

And if you are gonna drive that bike at those speeds (i.e. 30km/h) on Main Road, then be careful out there. According to my experience, you dont hit anyone while on road ... People will hit you ... ESPECIALLY if you drive slower.

I myself never had any accident on my CG-125. But some days back, near Kalma Chowk, a Curo drive (uncle g) hitted me TWICE ... once on a signal, and then near Hafeez Center ... I nearly survived there. Becoming aggressive due to my anger, i stopped that ****** bag in the middle of the road and asked him politely (because he was pretty much an aged man) if he didn't know how to Follow Lanes Or My Goddamn Indicators. And in return he asked me, Why am i driving slow.
I countered, Why you are being a jackass Rambo? And then i left.

But i did learned that if you drive slow, you WILL gonna have an accident out there. Drive too fast, same goes. Drive 'just' fast, to remain in the traffic flow.

Enjoy your bike brother. We would love to have some High Quality pictures of the bike.
Complete its running carefully & After that, try engine braking.
And as far as Top Speed for this bike is concerned, well you will never gonna go above 100km/h on a Stock Settings bike. But you WILL after a couple of tunnings.
Also, it'll be a piece of cake for you to take this bike upto 100km/h ... The reason being its Stability at higher speeds.

Also not to forget that Ring Road have too much open space around it. The bike's Aerodynamics literally Fail there ... Seriously.te

bhai that is like 90% of driving in lahore. only 10% is drivig ur car/bike. rest 90% is watching out what other people doing on the road. riding in lahore means my brake shoes get worn out very very quickly.

Abobobilly: Thanks. I know driving too slow can be just as dangerous. I am however only driving on completely empty roads. As in, ones with absolutely no traffic or near it.

Ashfaq: Yeah, that's pretty much what I said.

I am having some trouble starting the damn thing. I am going to get a mechanic to give it a full look over.

Got a mechanic to go over the motorcycle and do a full setup and tuning. It's just about perfect now.

Any tips on good engine oil for the motorcycle?

u can use any engine oil having API SF/SG or JASO MA or MA-2(not MA-1) rating (no matter what API rating it has if it is JASO MA/MA2 then u r good), anything else should not be used in motorbikes with wet clutch!!
Consult the manual for proper viscosity, AFAIK delux uses 20w 50 but if u can find it then, use 10w 40 during the break-in period of ur bike the rule of thumb is to use thinnest possible engine oil u can get away with to get the maximum possible performance out of ur engine(in theory)

Most importantly DO NOT use synthetic engine oil for atleast initial 1500km after that u can shift to synthetic oil for better fuel efficiency and smoother ride

    Happy riding

Thanks abobobilly, supercop. I noticed that the oil levels were low when I checked this morning, and the mechanic that came over also suggested Havoline.

On a side note; I don't like driving a car around at night, but riding a motorcycle at night is infinitely worse. Why do people drive with full beam on, on a very well lit street?
