well the mechanic i am referring has a experience of more than 30 years or so, he even went to dubai and tuned heavy bikes over there ,
the point i just mentioned was tht after so much of experience they still dont know how thing works
experience has the power , but experience without knowledge is nothing.........
he may be a master in so many things but still noob in the basics ,so to me such experience is useless
anyhow every1 has the right to say watever he want and u or i maynot agree on the common points
regarding engine , deluxe/cg is 124cm3
piaggio is 126cm3,
now dont bet me on tht coz u gonna lose man
My bikes official average is 50.68493 km/l and proved just checked today.
I understand many would come and challenge this but i'm attatching pictures of my speedometer as well. these pictures are taken from an angle showing one degree less than actual position please keep it in mind bike is in neutral and running condition and is upright
formula used is very simple
my tank had the first filling of around 900 rs quarter of that is 225rs divided by rate of litre which was 77 (rounding off .6) gives 2.92 liters
i took my 148 kms hence 148 divided by 2.92 is 50.68493km/l
along with this i'm assuming that reserve petrol is also shown on fuel guage. (correct me if I'm wrong)
"one important thing which is almost impossible by most of our drivers here, i drove this on rpm of 3.5 at 40km/h in fifth gear with each gear not more than 4 rpm)
let the power of youth explode
I have to agree with umer009 in regards to mechanics, and technicians from other profressions in general. The levels of competence and professionalism are very poor.
My dad used to always say: If you want something done right, do it yourself.
yes ur right i was confusing millat equipment with tractors sorry for that
regarding ur average well generally the correct method is from reserve to reserve , means reset ur meter on on reserve and note wat u drove till the next reserve , divide it by total liters ,
coz guages dont have accurate calibrations in some cases but ur average seems to be quite right coz u drove on 40 km/h in 5th gear
tht reminds me of my running period wen i drove at max 50km/h in 4th gear and got 48 km/liter
so ur average is justified , but if u drove at 60 to 70km/h after ur running ur average comes back to the 40-42 km/liter
one more thing try to avoid 5 th gear in runnig period coz it puts extra load in engine
keep it between 4.5 to max 5000 rpms in all gears till 1000km
let the power of youth explode
Salamzz to all guyz i ev been reading the thread for quite a few dayz now n thought i should tell you guyz about my experience as well. i bought piaggio about 6 months back i can say it without a doubt that its brilliant machine if you compare it with any other bike out there in the market but there are few things that can be improved and as far as my experience is concerned that this bike can surely give you about 50 KM/L but only if driven below 60 KMPH with keeping the RPM at 5 only and only if your bike is tuned properly by a good mechanic. Mines give me about 35 KM in 100 RS petrol which means 27 KMPL and even if i ride it below 60 or around it gives me 35 in liter the max and i went to 2 diff mechanic apart from the antena shop and none of them could fix it like it was in running phase.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />
whats the max speed of the 125dlx?....me and my friend took it to 100km/h...the pick up of 125dlx is kinda less than the classic one....ur views abt it?
bro i would suggest for now you can take your bike to sheikh usman at the antena shop but dont let anyone touch your bike's carburator and it will be fine and do change the plug if you havnt replace it with NGK plug. i m in search of a new mechanic as soon as i find one i will let you know. Thanks
