Dear its neither a proper comparison nor it is a just one.
I have just bought a new Yamaha junoon after market survey so Let me clearify a few things for you people.
Comparison:-
Performance based:-
Speed: Junoon wins here, it has more pick up and more top speed.
(The Topspeed written on speedometer is not the actuall topspeed dear)
Roadgrip: Both bikes have v.good roadgrip.
Comfort: Both bikes have pleasing comfort. Junoon's comfort is at par with Cd100's
Fuel avg: I fetched 58Km/Ltr during running process from my bike v.easily keeping its speed arround 50Km/hr +/-
Thus both bikes are 100% equal here both prove they can practically fetch 60Kmpl.
Plus points based:-
Junoon is far more good looking and sporty looking as compared to conventional type CD100.
junoon has front and rear both crystal lights.
CD100 is Euro 2.
Quality based:-
Honda's overall paint and build quality is better than Yamaha. Veldings on honda is finer than on yamaha. Finish of honda bikes is on top. yamaha is second.
Technology based:-
Yama 4 i.e. YD100 4 stroke was launched in 1998 (Correct me if im wrong) and has a newer technology at par with suzuki.
Honda CD100 is just a big fat version of old CD70 - 1980s technology and nothing good (Thats why junoon is better in performance)
Price based:-
Yamaha junoon's factory price is 70,500 Rs but with a little negociations i got it in 68,500Rs a 2000 rs discount!
Honda people did not agree to offer me any discount, they were arrogant and non-hospitable Price is 69,500Rs
It all depends what u want? a conventional looking bike or smart looking? consuder ur needs b4 u buy..
junoon needs more care than honda. but dont think its plastic is low quality.. its v.good.
