I got a new Honda 100 some 2 months ago in September, 2010.
I am very annoyed with it as it takes a lot of time to pick up the accelerator when it is started when the engine is cold. I have to keep the engine started for some never-ending 3-4 minutes before I can ride it. If I use the choke, the engine picks accelerator quicker. But I should mention that the bike starts on first or second kick, it just takes a lot of time to get "warm".
I went to Honda Antenna dealer (as my bike is still in warranty period) but he said it is perfectly normal and that I should use choke while starting the engine from cold state.
But I am not satisfied with this reply. I see many other bikes with equally cold engines as my Honda 100, but they are good to go the moment they are started. There must be something else wrong with my bike.
Can you please advise on what is going on with it and what I should ask the mechanic to verify? Because if I just tell him that engine takes a lot of time to start running, the mechanic would say it's normal - but I know it's not.
