Wink My first Bike--Honda CD 100--Pics and acknowledgements.

After doing research for more then 2 weeks for the best bike that suits my need i have finally Bought an AHL CD 100..The pics are attached

I would like to thank haris bhai a.k.a Hidalgo,Juste,gul_s_777,Vickytulla,Asjdsm for their precious insight regarding various makes/models and advising me the best bike that suits my needs as well is reliable.

Why i chose AHL CD 100
    1)Reliable + economic
    2)Spares/service is not an issue
3)IT Is a strong bike,it has a strong frame and its road grip is the best in 100cc Class.
    4)No vibrations and smooth ride..
5)Largest dealership/service network in my city, qualified mechanic is not hard to find.
6)Largest no. of owners of this make in 100-110cc category.
    7)PW elite bikers recommendations.

I prefer performance over dashy looks and CD 100 is perfect in this regard, and its looks are kik *** as well.

I would also advise other people to buy this quality ride if they are interested in 100-110 cc class.

Congrats for Your 1st and new bike.

Here What i have done with my bike. you can follow this procedure too.

Change 1st oil on first 300km then 2nd on 1300km. Keep changing oil on every 1k Km.

First tuning on first 1000km. I will suggest you to get open your carb on first and 2nd tuning because these days new stock of petrol lacks good quality. I have tried various fuel pumps in my area. So far Caltex and PSO works best for me. Total works too. I don't use and recommend Shell.

When my mechanic opened the carb twice it was filled (on both tunings) with dust (which comes in petrol). And it was the major cause of Missing in my bike. So tuning depends on area climate too in which you are driving, some places are clean and some are full of dust or polluted. Like we know about Lahore polluted areas.

I do tuning on every 2000kms.

Until 1000km no need of anything just drive gently and smoothly.

When you go for your first tuning get tighten all your bike bolts. Lubricate clutch, brake wires and chain.

Bhai i am thinking of changing my oil first at 300 then 800 then after every 900 Kms.Also i am thinking of going with Honda genuine oil as my antenna dealer serves only Honda's.I am shifting gears on appreciably low rpm with maximum speed of 35 Kms/hour..I need some help with break in period if you can shed your experience in it..

Regarding petrol if anyone can advise me a good petrol pump on peshawar road(rawalpindi)..Though i live in adiala road and there is only 1 shell pump but swarming with bikes. And i am thinking of keeping my carb intact till 3000+ Kms cuz atm my average is nearly 58Km/litre.

Mushkil lagta hai amjad bhai ke Dlx indicators lagaye gey, 70 mein isliye lagaye hain ke Stock mein paray rehtay thay pehlay Dlx k indicators, ab AHL ke most selling product 70 mein dhara dhar use ho rahey hain...Inho ne ahista ahista sari accessories same kardi hain har product ki, U see Switching assembly CD100 mein aayi thi sab se pehle in 2005, wahi switching assembly inho ne 125 or 70 mein b laga di, Side view mirrors sab models ke same kar diye since 2011...pehle different thay etc etc....
Anyway isbar CD100 mein kafi changes aa rahi hain like 125 & 70...Old stock sara nikal diya hai inho ne...Lekin abhi tak new model rack pe nahi charhaya....hopefully it will be there soon ...

I wish & hope that Atlas honda introduce some cosmetic changes to CD100
as it has very classical looks, CG125 & CD70 are old bikes
but CD100 is too much classic looking does not suit younger people

Though I agree with you amjad bhai but still I'll say it's the best bike for AHL
Believe me or not whenever people visit AHL plant in SKP they provide a bit introduction of their all 4 products... As U said CD70 & 125 are old bikes they don't need any intro... so they only brief about CD100 that it's the best bike for the coming time period....abt Dlx they say that it's for high income segment so it's not under any focus...

I guess AHL launched the CD100 to attract CD70 customers
i think they wanted people to drive 100cc now
they failed as people totally rejected it but they still have hope
or they think it is going to be most selling in future as you mentioned this also khanbhai
but as i said before it has very classic looks, so it is better they try this time 100cc with some decent attractive looks

There policy regarding deluxe is out my understanding why they call it bike for high segment
than bike costing almost lakh CG125 is for poor i mean people buying CG125 are poor
its the same segment of people purchasing both bikes, CG125 owner can easily afford 125 Deluxe too
If they want to target high segment shokeen banda log
They must launch a new bike with powerful engine & sporty looks price tag around 150k
as there are Honda 150cc bikes in India

I think that now trend is changing because of the constant change in the overall law enforcement situation of Pakistan. Cg 125 is close to Rs. 1 Lakh and CD 70 is about 70K, as i my opinion both of these bikes are not such a worth and people are shifting towards CD 100 because of the power and fuel efficiency. Plus now the Mechanics are also similar with its engine and it is the most reliable motor bike for the road conditions in Pakistan.
