    Default Carburetor Changed in 100cc Honda for Cold start problems

    Dear All,

    Atlas Honda has changed the Carburetor in their new 100cc Honda (now pridor) after a long long practicing of old one. The new one having good pick up and cold start with smooth engine runing. the chang been made because of the missing problem in the cold start specially in the morning was a big issue while keeping economy of Petrol consumption. The new carburetor is big effort by honda both for smooth runing and fuel savings.
    This is also a good practice for old cd100 owners is to replace the old carburetor with a new one, but due to just New in the Market thats so expensive Now at about Rs 3500.The spark plug also been upgraded in the New Model replacing old (N7c) into N7CRH mor efficent.
    I will Attach the Both PICS later for more understandings,

    Best regards,

    Dear Ride1,

    You are the first ever person, who got issues of starting. I think you should go to an experienced mechanic or Honda 3s dealer,, after all ur bike is under warranty,,
    I hope THIS IS NOT A BIG ISSUE,, there is some minor fault.

    This is not a a fualt guys... bike having hard time in cold start means its perfect tuned to use minimal petrol and give good mileage... when ever you need to make a cold start choke the bike for the first 2 kicks and on third or may be second kick release the chooke and pull the acsilator a little bike will start with a smile.. it happens only in wintor in summar the problem will be gone..

    Those bikes who start withoutany issue in wintor also are running rich in fuel setting which is not a desired thing.

    @theRider1

    Hope you were answered by vicky bhai in detail.
    However, using the choke is not a sin
    so use the choke on first start of the day,
    your bike will not give any problem, i hope.

    The choke is meant to be engaged during cold starts (Specialy in winters) relatively modern carbs have automatic Choke functions so the manual choke suhd be used wenever required specialy is cold starts.

    Bro this cold starting issue you will encounter only in extreme colds(happens with every bike)..I own a cd-100 and now it takes like 2-3 minutes to warm up
    The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers.
